Coach, do you have a link to the shooter and #BLM and many other groups you'd like to shit on?
The incident began about 1:33 p.m. when police received a call about an armed disturbance at an apartment complex, Juniper Gardens, at Second Street and Edgerton Drive. The caller told police that several people in a car were firing shots at them, according to a statement from KCK police.
Officers arrived within minutes. At that time, three or four people bailed from the car.
An officer took one person into custody near there.
Shortly before 2 p.m., an officer attempted to stop another person. Multiple shots were fired and an officer was hit. Police were advised that an officer was down at 1:58 p.m.

The cops should just pull out of all these areas entirely and let this a-holes fend for themselves.

BLM deserves to be shit on, nothing but a hate group like the KKK...
They broke one cops neck recently by dropping a cinder block on his head, yeah, peaceful group Obama...

Is it because he didn't die that it got little attention?

MILWAUKEE —A Milwaukee police officer who was shot multiple times over the weekend left the hospital Wednesday morning and headed home for the remainder of his recovery.
The visibly emotional officer, Brandon Baranowski, expressed gratitude to the community and and to his law enforcement partners during brief remarks outside Froedtert Hospital.

They already do.
How incompetent of a police officer and a LEO organization do you have to be to allow 40+ murders to occur over a weekend? Every weekend? Over what can be no more than a few miles of city blocks?
If the police couldn't get a grip on 1% of that figure in ANY other neighborhood with any regularity, you'd see an entire political landscape change overnight with sweeping force.
So, you should ask yourself: What are the cops doing there now? What purpose do they serve?

Funny, that's the same thought 240 has.

You hate cops. When a shooting happens you're quick to judge against the cop before any real facts come out and even then you still make excuses.

You love bad cops that hurt/kill innocent people.

No, I know how to decipher a good cop from a bad cop but somehow they're all targets.

I suspect these numbers to increase as tension increases between police and community. :-\ :-\
National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund: Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund
http://www.nleomf.org/facts/enforcement/
--A total of 1,439 law enforcement officers died in the line of duty during the past 10 years, an average of one death every 61 hours or 144 per year. There were 123 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in 2015.

Was this shooting in direct response to the tensions in the community, i.e., was it an act of revenge for what's been going on? Or, just a random criminal act? Not that it makes it any better or any worse, just curious.

Savages.
Try not to use such harsh language in describing police officers.
Yes, many are homicidal, white supremacist SCUM. However, I still believe the vast majority are good and actually care about the communities they police.

I don't know
All I know is that by applying the "I want mass fallacy" I can see that that these events are anomalies.
No different than a 2 headed snake or a white buffalo being born
just very rare, infrequent, irregular and inconsistent

Strange how blacks can assume cops are racist based on the actions of a few but cops can't assume blacks are savages based on the actions of many. Either we can extrapolate general behavior from the actions of a few individuals or we cannot. If we do, then all of the cops beliefs about the black community are validated.
