because he is a douchebag...isn't he that fake natty Russian phaggot that thinks he is some kind of golden era god....every shirt that phaggot owns seems to be a low cut v-neck

Yeah Danny's a funny guy, love his impersonations of Arnold and Joe too.
Funny how every bodybuilding organisation has always had a bunch of old fruits on the judging panel. 60+ years old, skinny, comb-over grey hair, all look like Mr Burns from the Simpsons.

Or a bunch of flamers as Danny would say  :D

If people listened to Danny as opposed to ogling and lusting after the guy interviewing him they might actually enjoy the interview
i watched it and the interviewer never entered my head,

I saw Danny guest pose in Rochester at his peak, along with Pete Grymkowski. Danny came from behind the audience and walked down the aisle, about a foot from me. He could have easily been well over 200+. I dont know how he put that much muscle on. Grymko at the time claimed to be 250-270 in off season shape and Danny was easily his proportions- just shorter. You really had to see him in person to appreciate his size.

He was a great short BB.  He has to have some of the best genetics for building muscle and thick black hair.  Every young BB should watch this.  He speaks the truths and always did.

If he'd only been around 5'10"  IMO, he would've destroyed everyone back then.

The interview was awesome but I just want to say he said 3rd was the best he could do in this contest as the sponsor paid to have Momo first and Dorian was the next big thing from Europe.

Momo was a freak and Dorian was Dorian. I don't think he was screwed that day as great as he was. I saw a video of Momo coming out at FIBO 92 and he was seriously a freak rivalling Dorian even then.

I recall Dorian's color for the prejudging was odd.  I had high hopes for Johnny Morant's future showings, but there you go.
Momo was great.

One of the very few interviews worth listening to. Has Ric Drasin had Danny on his show yet?
Nice voice and he realy has sensible things to say. And understands how a proper interview will work for viewers

Seems an honest and smart guy

Also, check out the awkward shuffle the interviewer does at 29.20 when Padilla talks about synthol leaking from arms.

Has anyone else noticed that Danny hardly features at all in the films and pics from the 1980 Olympia?   I saw some screen caps a few years ago of Danny's routine from that Olympia and I would say he is one of the most impressive bodybuilder I have ever seen. Arms are humongous.  I'm thinking these screencaps were from a guy who filmed the show and they maybe appeared on the old Ironage site. I'd like to see them again if anyone has them.

Would easily turn pro today and place top 5 in 212 division. Bodybuilding hasn't made any advances in 40 years. Neither drugs, nor supplements, nor diet could make 99.9% of today's bodybuilders look anywhere even close to as good as Danny did.

Totally agree. The use of GH and insulin makes guys look bizarre- like they are inflated.
