Interesting.
Source: Talking Points Memo
At a Monday campaign event in Columbus, Ohio, Donald Trump teed up for a potential challenge to the integrity of the fall general election, an escalation of his rhetoric about the "rigged" primary system.
"I'm afraid the election's gonna be rigged, I have to be honest," Trump told the crowd. While Trump has often questioned the integrity of the primary contests in both parties, his newest remarks seemed to begin laying groundwork for him to contest the Nov. 8 election results.
It was a line of attack that longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone pushed on a podcast with Breitbart's Milo Yiannopoulos that was posted online Friday. Stone suggested voter fraud is "widespread" and said if Hillary Clinton wins a state like Florida after polls show Trump in the lead, the election would be "illegitimate."
"If there’s voter fraud, this election will be illegitimate, the election of the winner will be illegitimate, we will have a constitutional crisis, widespread civil disobedience, and the government will no longer be the government," Stone said. He also promised a "bloodbath" if the Democrats attempt to "steal" the election.

Hillary and her supporters would never try to cheat, lie, scam, rip-off, steal, rig or do anything else to win the presidential election. ::)

didn't trump brag about bribing/cheating the system for decades? I'm sure hilary would cheat, absolutely. But trump is proud of how shady he's been over the decades and all the wealth it brought.
Do you think Trump woudln't cheat?

He doesn't have the means to cheat. Hillary and her people are so ingrained in every fabric of the system from voting machines to media polls to delegates to vote counters and the administrators who will allow voters to vote 10x in a day and garner 865% of the available votes in a precinct. Trump doesn't have the infrastructure to pull that off. Hillary has had 24 years to build on it.

THIS.
Trump *would* cheat. She would just be 1000 times more capable.
But just because he'd be worse at it, doesn't mean he wouldn't do it.

He is already setting up for a loss.
F him. This was a completely winnable race and he is pissing it away intentionally

i hate the clintons, and you know i love the fact trump is a conspiracy theorist.
but I just feel like his mis-steps are all too convenient. he masterfully pwned every repub in that race. With Hilary, he has managed to make himself look magnanimous and brave and powerful - while at the same time creatively dissing each group he'd need to win, thus sinking his numbers over and over.
it's monday. Polls will *start* turning hilary's way now. By Friday, we'll have a pretty good idea that Hilary is stronger than ever. This is predictable now.

He is not even running a real campaign. Its all tweets, insults on TV to garner media coverage, and talking about himself and getting into squabbles with people.
Makes me sick to my stomach cause that disgusting pos Hillary is so beatable and a random name in the phone book would run a better campaign against her.

Trump is getting 16% of the non-white vote. That pulls more and more swing states out of play for Trump.
Pissing off the military = just plain crazy. Trump is smart enough to know not to go near that.

IF the CTers are right - and he's just running a media campaign to become the face of a new TV network - he's doing everything right. He'll yank a shitload of Rush and Hannity viewers and his kids will dominate the airwaves for 40+ years.
Kinda like Ben Carson running to sell books - never built any infrastructure - he briefly took lead in polls and immediately stopped campainging to do a book tour which lasted until Iowa lol.
Trump got his lead, made his mark, and now he's just appealing to the "hate illegals + muslim" crowd...

I told you - once i got played by him over the Birther thing - i realized what a liar he is and not to trust a word he says.

Imagine th next 4 years, as trump TV criticizes president Hilary on a daily basis. He'd actually help create the lib monster that he'd be criticizing each day. Leaving a TV network legacy for his kids to run. Brilliant really.

I agree. Makes me sick, too. All he needed to do was act sincere, like he wanted the chance. That's it.

Maybe he really is this dense and clueless. Maybe he really just has no thirst for knowledge and believes it's okay to speak on things without knowing htem first.
Did you hear how he scrambled when told Russia was already in Ukraine? instantly, he doubled the speed of his sentence, came back with "of course I know that"... word salad... then attack on obama.
Trump is bullshitting us. I think his motive is a hilary presidency, maybe it's just for fun, maybe he wants a network, maybe it's anything... BUT he's bullshitting us 24/7. He is, folks.

If someone had the energy, desire, and some billions to pump into a media effort, the current climate says it could be a fast track to power. Fact is, hearing all the lies makes certain people crave the truth, but they don't know where to find it.
Seeing any profitability in a lifetime is another issue, though, I'd say. It would be all sacrifice and huge money spent without a cent in return for who knows how long. And many endless battles against people who would be fighting it every inch of the way. Imagine the enemy list.

Trump is a huge alex jones guy. AJ is working to get him elected because he certainly wants a 911 truther in the white house.
Didn't palin start her own tv network? She was 1% of the showman and wealth that trump is. And I think he really really connects with a good 20% of the nation on a visceral level - they FEEL him, they love him, and they'll support him no matter WHAT he says because he's tapped into their anger and frustration.
I think a trumptv network would be WILDLY successful. Plans are already there, his kids will run it, he'll be the name and do his brief speeches/shows... and it'll kick ass in the ratings.
FOX viewers have a lot of CTs, and they're tired of listening to Hannity mock birtherism or OReilly laugh at other CTs they know to be accurate. And MSNBC viewers are shit tired of hearing maddow mock 911 truthers when yes, there is a lot to that.
TrumpTV would get people form both sides. I watch cnn, fox, and msn and listen to fox radio - and i'd watch trumptv in a minute. i love all points of view, even if I think some are really dishonest and delusional at times.
People would love the truth. His network would flourish.

Yeah, I see now she tried to create an 'internet tv network' that failed. I remember she had a 'reality show' which also failed, but didn't know about the other. Imo, simply trying to mimic FOX (or MSNBC or whatever), is going in the opposite direction of success.

Its scary how sickening this joke an election this is. Hillary sucks worse than any dem candidate in my lifetime and even Bob Dole could have beaten her.
-
From one year ago:
A year after launching her own subscription-based internet TVnetwork, Sarah Palin will stop charging fans to hear her “discuss the great issues of the day and work toward solutions.”
Beginning on August 1, the type of content previously hidden behind the paywall atSarahPalinChannel.com will be made available for free on Palin’s Facebook page.
Tapp, the online video company that hosts the channel, said it doesn’t reveal subscription numbers, so it’s unclear whether a lack of interest from fans is behind the end of the channel. One possible explanation, though, is a lack of interest from Palin herself.
^that last sentence linked to a hit-piece on a comment page somewhere. But looks like a weak effort from Palin anyway.

Maybe the GOP should have "drafted" better candidates.

This was possibly the best field we have seen.
He problem was the base voters. 40% of the party that has more spare magazines than teeth

Have you forgotten that Trump already is cheating
He's pretending to run to help Hillary....remember
He's doing all this to help his "wedding buddy"
I wonder if the Trump family knows they are all just doing this to secretly help Hillary win
No way Trump backs out of the debates
That's when Bill Clinton has planned for Trump to accidentally admit that Hillary is more qualified
-

Yes, I posted this before. I think the only reason he even entered the race was to shit on the other candidates and cause them to have fuck ups and "oops" moments that would have been beneficial to Clinton. He wasn't interested in actually winning. He was just there to slander and maim the other candidates. Not that they needed any help as they did a fine job on their own. Now that he's the last man standing he doesn't really want to win. How could he? Sorry ass VP pick. Mouth of Doom. Shitting on nearly every group of voters out there from women to vets...
If he has any interest at all now, it is simply an ego thing.

I applaud your post. Right now, we have all of the spectrum beileving Trump is a dem plant. Soul Crusher is pretty far right. I'm batshit all over. And I'd put your left-ish.
I think Trump's ego is so big, that AFTER the election, he will likely wink at us when asked if his goal all along was to grow his profile/build a TV network, and get his wedding buddy into power against the strongest GOP field we've ever seen.
The funniest part will be the role played by the liberal media. By continally attacking Trump - an inexperienced, erratic candidate with lib history - the liberal media actually forced Repub base voters to support trump. They were all saying "We aren't going to let MSNBC stop him!" and sending him more and more money and votes every time.
Remember Laurence ODeonnell sending talking points to Trump for him to use, to discredit cruz, when cruz was gaining momentum?
Remember lib media giving Trump stories about ben carson's exaggerations, which Trump promptly imitated to mock him?
Repubs, you have been duped by a lifelong liberal named Trump.
You only backed him because the lib media you hate was dissing him.
MSNBC and Trump have sodomized you, dry.

Looks like quite a lot about this online, and more all the time (increasing as the dates become more recent). There's much more activity on it than you might think, as far as the 'Trump working with Clintons' thing.
-
Here's a cool little read asking that question. I like it:

Trump isn't going to build a TV network.
All he has done is poison his own shitty brand
How does saying his "wedding buddy" is rigging the election help his "wedding buddy", especially if she does win
I assume Bill Clinton is still in charge of this con game. At what point does Bill tell Trump to endorse Hillary and bow out?

Trump HAS run before!
Supporters of the Jesse Ventura faction began encouraging Donald Trump to enter the race, likely as a placeholder for Ventura, who said he would not consider a presidential bid until after his term as governor ended. On October 25, 1999 Trump joined the Reform Party. and for a brief time he seemed to be a credible alternative to Buchanan. His pre-campaign gained a great deal of media attention. It seemed as though the primaries would amount to a showdown between Buchanan and Trump, the latter of whom remained confident he could win not only the primary, but also the general election. Trump told reporters: "It's not so much the Reform Party, it's really the fact that I'd want to make that if I ran and spent a lot of money I could actually win, I could beat that Democrat-Republican apparatus."
On October 19, 1999 Donald Trump announced he would file to appear on the California primary ballot. During the California primary, he received 15,311 votes. Trump ultimately withdrew his candidacy. During an appearance on The Today Show, he stated: "The Reform Party is a total mess! You have Buchanan, a right winger, and you have Fulani, a Communist, and they have merged.... I don't know what you have!"
