During the time when that video was shot, Flex was truly a comic book character. But he took it too far and everything went to shit.

If he stayed around 217-223 instead of trying to add 20 lbs, I truly believe he would have got an Olympia, he played the size game along with Kevin chasing Dorian and both never got near their best condition at that higher bodyweight, lest face it Dorian was never better than he was in 93, where he was unbeatable but Flex early 93 not Olympia 93 beats Dorians later version. They all anticpated Dorian getting bigger and better, he didn't, but neither did they.

Yeah, there's clearly something to be said about starting from the Flex Wheeler/(Zyzz - who he?) beginning/method of being a skinny f@#king ecto b4stard to start with and just smashing the gear to 'layer that meat popsicle' (as I vaguely recall that crazy Michalik guy called it?) - as opposed to being a meso/endo constantly having to diet to the brink of death...
Just need to be born with 3 or more kidneys to be sure of survival (plus be ready take TRT and/or insulin and thyroid* for the rest of your life)

Flex always sold a tall tale of growing up poor. Leather pants cost well over $150 back then. So which story is it?

he had extended family. He was or is from Fresno. Those could have been knock offs or a gift. Or they may have cost less than what you estimate back then. They were all the rage, I think---the Michael Jackson look. And let's not us forget he wore his underwear for posing trunks at first contest. Plus, haven't you seen "poor" people with Jordans on?

Totally forgot he wore those pants right after the Rodney King riots in LA. Excellent point!
