Typical how the quads go with age. Levrone lost his legs late in his career the first time round. This aint gonna end well .....

Yeah but his waist is tighter as well. When the legs go is it because they are squatting with less weight and frequency?

shame he couldn't shut his mouth, not cover himself in graffiti and still compete in the ifbb today, would be good to see how he faired with the new dwarfs in this generation and the 202 division.

no it isnt, Dorian didnt squat for most of his pro career.

And when he did squat it was no more than 2 plates on each side of the Smith machine.

What are your thoughts then? Dorian wasn't in the same competitive shape at a later age. He won his last Olympia and retired.

My point was the don't "go" with age they just aren't a priority and aren't hit as hard. Lee's legs are smaller but so is his waist. You kept your size throughout the years, why do you think these pros dont?

No natural base. Lee was drug free for a number of years when he first started training. People that have a natural base keep muscle a lot longer.

Some people's legs don't dwindle a lot with age if their legs are their genetically gifted muscle.

The legs carry less muscle with age due to nerve damage, same with triceps too.

It is really hard to continue training legs with the proper stimulus while you age. Heavy squats and leg presses will take a toll on your body, just look at Ronnie C.

then don't do anything too heavy
I can maintain my leg size training legs once every 10 days, a bit of biking and moderate poundage leg press and hacks.

How old are you and do you have a lot of leg size to start?

He's leaner in the second pic and also his legs were never ripped around 1997-2002 but now they are. They might be a little smaller but much more ripped. Until there is a pic of him say 15 pounds heavier in 2015 you can't tell if he's actually lost leg mass. When you keep getting more and more ripped you lose it somewhere and it comes back when you go up.

I had muscular legs before I touched a weight, just from sprinting and running.
My legs havent grown a massive amount over the years but the shape and quality has changed.
Even when I stopped training altogether in the late 90s my legs never went away.

Lee's cool. I trained with him in the mid-'90s at Powerhouse Gym in Venice. Seriously funny, too.

I do think it's a damn shame he got himself barred from the IFBB and all that shitty ink.

The second pic is very modified and his wheels have lost a lot of volume. In his prime he carried a fuckload of muscle.

lee's legs being so damn short were like a caricature his calves and quads were as wide as each other and top to bottom fully developed...only his condition at times was off in there...

Not his last years in the sport. He even said in an interview the most he would go up to is 2 plates and would burn out and go heavy on other movements.

MEN should focus on pecs, delts, and arms

females need to focus on legs and ass, not men   :D
