TA, I'm not much of a wrestling fan and was never familiar with Mr Fuji (RIP), but at first I thought you had made a mistake due to the fact that I mistook Mr Fuji for Harold Sakata who played Oddjob in one of the James Bond flicks.

I worked with Harold SAKATA a number of times and he had passed away in 1982, but Mr. Fuji's similarity to Harold Sakata's Oddjpb threw me off a bit.

Do you know if it was necessary to get some form of a permit to 'impersonate' a person made famous in a motion picture years beforehand before using that 'personality' in the ring?

And has any other wrestler done anything similar?

In real life Mr. Fuji was not to be taken lightly. All the boys Hulk, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Jimmy Hart... they all told tales of Mr Fuji in bar fights and he was not to be under estimated.

I love hearing stories like this. Bar fights sounded like a common occurrence for 80s and 90s wrestlers. Must've been all the booze, coke, roids, and concussions.

I'm not scared of most people, but even if I had top level training I'd probably just run from those kind of guys.

Heard the same things about Haku, Undercutter, Hornswoggle and Sable.

Seems like they barbrawled alot in those days.

Funny but of course fake and with bad acting, but I remember seeing this during my wrasslin watching wwf attitude era days. The sheer size of Bradshaw next to normal guys shows how scary it would be to run into a group of these guys in a bar and accidentally pissing them off somehow.

Hung out with Kevin Nash more than a few times in bars. I swear to god, every fucking time some drunk prick would talk shit to him. He was a very legit 6'9" 325-340 pounds and people would talk smack. Just unbelievable. It never ended well for the drunk or the drunk's friends.

I never had drinks with Mr. Fuji. Heard many tales, just never hung out with him in person.

Very cool. And Ron Simmons was an all-american defensive lineman at my alma mater and was drafted by the Browns. A consistent 500 pound bencher according to Stone Cold

Big show is every bit of 7'0".

When he shook my hand it was like an adult shaking the hand of a baby. You could tell he was being very careful to not put too much pressure on my hand so as not to crush it into dust.
