I've been reading alot of boxing forms lately and some of the total garbage that's been wrote regarding gaining weight, loosing it,body composition... Some of the gems include gaining 30lbs of muscle in 3 month natty, having muscle slows you down ( a fat 160 isn't better than a ripped 160), it goes on and on
I truly beleive apart from.an elite few, no one understands the body, how to eat etc etc than us gym rats, the other sports just don't get it, the myths and delusions run rampant
-
Best are the women forums though.
"Justin Bieber is so muscular"
:-X
-
Some men read boxing forums, others read women's gossip pages.... I 'm cool with all sorts ;)
Yes you are right, women are even more clueless, even women in sports
-
Some men read boxing forums, others tea women's gossip pages.... I 'm cool with all sorts ;)
Haha, yes.
I can't recommend going to female forums to any man.
Very destructive to fragile male ego.

You think that's crazy, you should read what they say on the gay swingers forums....
WOOPS!
-
Even most doctors are absolutely clueless about the human body, nutrition and exercise. Quite shocking actually...

I had to explain what a deadlift was to a "sports" physio a while back...

Hm.
I got a different experience.
Sometimes I visit a female forum just for comedy purposes.
Highly recommended when in a bad mood.

In forum I visited, they were mostly mocking men and there were even few hunk lusting threads with men so detached from normal human being that I thought I would never again dare to be in proximity of woman. Women don't seem to like normal men, unlike us men who find something sexy in very modest everyday women :-\
Maybe it was a feminist forum or something but it left scratch to my soul.

That's why they often call Palumbo for consultancy.
-
no one has any idea
i can't count the number of people i know who guzzle coffee all day and claim it has "no effect" because they "can't feel anything"
-
Most bodybuilders have no clue either.

I disagree, I think the majority have a good basic knowledge

This funnels even further into most people don't understand science, math or statistics at even a very basic level. They don't understand things like oxygen being necessary for a fire or even what oxygen is.
-
The fire triangle is far too complex for most to comprehend... No wonder they can read all the training and dieting advice there is and not take in a word of it
-
Isn't the truth basically that you can do whatever exercise and if you have the genetics, you will develop.
And if you don't have the genetics, you can do whatever exercise in fucking laboratory and eat atoms but you will look and perform like shit.
It ain't no rocket science.
Although some parties portray it as it would be.
No one would hire a guru if he spoke the truth; up the dosage - if not helping, try to stuff yourself back to vagina and get re-fucked with different sperm.

Please explain your use of the apostrophe in "bodybuilders".

What the fuck has that got to do with what you quoted ?.... Sorry for my poor grammar, hope we can still be friends ::)

That is not grammar, it's punctuation.
We are still friends, but need to eliminate the misuse of the apostrophe. It's out of control.
Do it for the kids.

T'he ap'ost'rop'he ca'n ru'in liv'es!
Please don't abuse it to such high degree as Antoine Vaillant and Moty did!

er not really, frankly I have piss poor genetics (below average) but by learning mind-muscle connection during weightlifting, choosing good exercises that work for me (not generic bench squat deadlift), good nutrition and some use of anabolics I managed to build myself up to something somewhat respectable. It's so sad for me to see so many guys with insanely better genetics than me but because they're much dumber they don't develop to their full potential. If they even did 1/4 of what I did they would blow me away within 3 months

Some boxers can gain almost 30 lbs in 3 months, why? because some cut why below their normal weight for fights.
A lot of boxers have skinny legs, because they don't want weight on their legs upping their fighting class.
-
In that case they have gained nothing, they have regained what they have lost to fight at a smaller weight to gain an advantage..
Not all boxers have skinny legs, can think of s few off the top of my head with good wheels

So in other words, you used steroids because your genetics were bad/not what you wanted. Basically what he just said.
That's why bodybuilders are not that bright. They try and make it harder then it is or make it appear so to try and impress others.

If its so easy how come word class athletes in weight categories turn up skinny fat, giving away a true weight advantage?

Until recently pretty much only tyson had legs. His punching power came from his legs. Most boxers without knock out power, have skinny legs to get into lower weight classes. Also, a lot of modern boxers fall into that old school thought.

all of a boxer's punch power comes from the legs. try sitting down and throwing a punch.

Or how drinking coke/tea helped them "quit".

If they dont feel anything then it hasnt had an effect, caffeine is taken as a stimulant, if you dont take enough to create an energy kick then it hasn't done anything.
I fail to see your point

That's why Pistorious used a gun

Probably.
Those are like you said... not recommended.

Haha, yes.
It's hilarious... unfortunately I don't know if it is phrased best possible way in english.
-
It amazes me time after time that even highly educated and intelligent people are absolutely clueless when it comes to nutrition. Earning over 200k a year as a big firm accountant but thinking whipped cream is healty because it is from a cow. They are fat heffers and so are there children but they cant figure out why. Oh Brother :-X

Well, all you have to do is look around, and count how many 1-2" range of motions, jerking pulls etc. you see, and it proves you are definitely right. Most of the gym goers doesn't have a clue what to do in the gym, just because they are copying their method of training from the idiots, who haven't any clue how to do efficient and beneficial work out. At my gym most of the amateurs are training 5-6 days per week, some of them two sessions per day + aerobics, swimming and jogging. They look just same year after year, just like the classic bodybuilding guy whose advise they are following = 1 bad guru can spoil life of the hundreds of gym goers even in the small country like Finland, so how about in the USA? It is just like a flu, if you sneeze in the Finland, 15 catch a flu, but if you sneeze in the USA, there will be epidemic of 15 million people. If you need an explanation for epidemic of high lats or short biceps, it will be easy. Just look who Milos Sarcev have been coaching and how much articles there is about the training of these victims of his. ;D

Erm...? You were prolly being sarky and I've missed the point as usual. But checking this made me realise that it does exist, although it appears to be a relatively nascent thing...
"Get Inspired: Wheelchair boxing group aims for Paralympics
Wheelchairs and boxing. It seems an odd combination, doesn't it? So, can the two really mix together to form one recognised sport Well, if you ask a group that call themselves the Wheeled Warriors, the resounding response is: "Absolutely! Why can't we fight?"
The Wheeled Warriors Boxing Organisation (WWBO) is the brainchild of Colin Wood, a sports coach from Coventry, who is going blind. He wanted to create a sport that allowed disabled people to fight in the Paralympic Games.
"For us, it's mainly about helping disabled people to compete at the highest level and that ultimately means the Paralympics," said Wood"

I bet they are queuing up to fight him...

Even many PT's are quite naive on many aspects of bodybuilding.

I have to hold on laughing everytime i see a guy proud of his man boobs, and calling the thing "a chest".
