Actually the Mind/Muscle connection is my main focus when training these days.
Could also protect a lotta retarded ego-lifters from serious injuries.

To quote Steve Reeves:
"I had no limitations, and I used extreme concentration. In other words, when I worked out, I'd concentrate on the movements, doing them nice and slow so that I could really feel the movement all the way up and all the way down. I used a full range of motion, and it really worked out well for me. What you have to do is create a superior line of communication between your brain and your muscles. And you can only do that two ways: by concentration and by practicing muscle control in your spare time when you're not working out. When you can flip those muscles (e.g. getting your biceps to twitch through brief, voluntary flexion), that means you have great communication between your mind and your muscle tissue. So by building up a greater, superior line of communication between the brain and the muscles, I was able to develop much faster and easier, in other words, I didn't put so much time into it. I'd work out three days a week for about two to two and a half hours a day. Probably two and a half hours counting my upper body and lower body, and the other four days a week I would rest because rest is just as important as working out."

Don't know about that. The thing is the Mind/Muscle Connection is real, but doesn't get any use, nor currency, on a site where drugs, implants and synthol are the only answers.

I actually agree with what Bloho said on the subject, and that's a rarity. He said that the mind-muscle connection is just a hippie newage way of saying control the weight and squeeze the muscle instead of just moving it from point A to point B.

I think he has only done an analysis of research up to this point. Right now he is actually working on his own study so not completed yet according to his facebook.

So if you lift yourself, why do you have to ask stupid questions like that? Is the Mind/muscle connection bullshit? No, it isn't, but you need some kind of brains to utilize it. Is reps beyond the pain barrier most efficient? Yes, if you know what it mean. Is pyramid system usefull? Yes, if you know what you do...see the pattern there? 1. You have to have a brains 2. you have to understand what you are doing and why. It is obvious that most of the getbig lack some of those premises, so let's simplify this to your level: yes, it is all bullshit. Don't believe anything what you read from the old school builders, it is all crap. Happy now? ;D
