Send US Troops to pillage the oil of Iraq.
Will this increase terrorism and unite the world against us?
Just we would leave a certain group behind and you would take various sections where they have the oil. They have — people don’t know this about Iraq, but they have among the largest oil reserves in the world, in the entire world.
And we’re the only ones, we go in, we spend $3 trillion, we lose thousands and thousands of lives, and then, Matt, what happens is, we get nothing. You know, it used to be to the victor belong the spoils. Now, there was no victor there, believe me. There was no victor. But I always said: Take the oil.

We should have taken Iraq oil to pay for all of our costs of the war, including costs for wounded and killed US military people. We should have occupied Iraq, installed a puppet government, that would have made sure that every islamic terrorist, and all their family members, were hunted down and summarily killed, without the slightest regard to their "human rights." If Iraq had been properly "pacified," things would be better in the middle east.

it makes sense. But then the whole region turns against us. Then our allies stop helping. In 2016, we can't just colonialize a nation like Iraq. We're hating all over Russia for trying to do this with Ukraine. We can't just take over a country for their oil.

The whole region is practically already against us. Might as well profit off our endeavors.

Our "allies" are worthless, and we pick up the tab, for any "coalition," that we form. We occupied Germany and Japan for years (still are really). It can be done. Our "leaders" have lacked will power.
