Title: It sounds like Levrone may compete again and the legs will be back....
Post by: Man of Steel on September 22, 2016, 08:06:29 PM
After learning of his injuries and recovery and prep pre Olympia he wasn't 100%.

Will he be back to prime Levrone 90s form?  I believe it's possible.

He's sad. Truly he must have nothing else going.

The guy isn't passionate.

He doesn't lift regularly or with intensity for YEARS, then boatloads drugs for several months and ... experiences injuries.

His strength, via the drugs, skyrockets, and injury is what he can expect. Especially being 50.

The only thing "hardcore bodybuilding" about Kevin is his willingness to take gallons of drugs.

You know...you would think Ronnie's adventures would serve as a strong enough warning against this kind of thing...but I guess not....

he probably made awesome money with the comeback.  Using the injury angle means many of his diehard fans can pretend he'll be top 3 next year.

He has NEVER stopped lifting. Even in 2009 (youtube history videos) he is jacked & shredded with decent size.

True.  He probably just got on a grownup cycle and started training hard 6 days a week instead of 3-4 days casually.

Given his previously held levels, getting back to sick size wouldn't be that hard.

But when Levrone stood next to Heath, Levrone's arms looked small.

Heath makes Kevin's best body parts look small. Even the shoulders.

Says he had a hard time squatting 135 but around 4 wks or so out there's a vid of him doing 315 for reps  ::)

Why does he need to put a team together for his diet and training? He's been winning shows, placing 2nd at the O, and Arnold Classic titles way before?? Unless he wants to use heavy GH and insulin this time around. I don't believe the guys are bigger like Kevin said, maybe overall but not conditioning. The 90's had Nasser, Paul, Dorian, Francois, Ronnie, Pierre fux, baker, etc... No today's guys aren't really bigger

The only embarrassing thing on the Olympia stage was the bulbous guts of the other competitors. What good are size when it's utterly non-symmetric and bloofy? Ask any person on the streets and Levrone's current build would be preferred 100%.
Don't forget that the manlet hobgoblin Branch Warren left the stage last year with a top 10, that's a major travesty, not having a fan favourite return.
Kev, even in his current state, is lightyears ahead of that shrunken golem.

Perhaps that explains his very high feet placement on the leg press and lower range of motion. To put less strain on quads and more on hamstrings and glutes.

Either way, he still looked the best at the Olympia, no keg gut, lean face, and no glazed insulin look.

Doesn't leg extensions by default put a large sheering force on the kneecap and tendons?

What did Kevin make at this Olympia? 1k? 2k? Lol. He puts together a team to front all his expenses: Someone fronts all his drugs, someone fronts him a car most likely, probably goes to the gym as a Guest of a paying member no doubt. Someone probably pays for his meals and food expenses and someone else pays for other miscellaneous expenses along the way. In total Kevin fashion he will avoid all these people because he will never pay anybody back. He looks good in two shots and even in those two shots he looks small and like decent Jr National competitor at best. Lol. Kevin doesn't make money. He owes money. To everybody.

He created a massive amount of hype around his name -> generating a lot of buzz around his products as well.

A lot of buzz around his name and thus his brand, prior to his "comeback" he had barely any exposure to himself or his brand.

He got a big fat check to complete in the olympia do you know the social media buzz on the olympia and the amount of people who showed up at the show because of kevin, he has tons of sponsors now, muscular development, gorilla wear etc a company that gives him free food plus pimping his own supplement line, he would be stupid to walk away from all this when he can complete in a few shows and everybody will say wow you look great for 52.

sissy squats are worse. most people get problems in the lower position of the extension. Use a shorter range of motion in the upper position.

What are sissy squats? If you have to neglect a full ROM why even bother with the exercise?

well the extension is an exercise that some have trouble with, for example cartillage damage. In the lower position there is a high degree of stress. With a shorter range of motion you can train your quads safely. If you have knee issues leg press is best. sissy squats are leaning back movement raising up on your toes so your upper body is parallel in the lower position(lean back squat) hard to explain. look on youtube. sissy squats are hard for most on the knees. I do not like them myself but try them. you can add weight with a plate on your chest free hand holding an upright.

Nasser dorian Pierre was heavy, tall...but today they got much bigger muscles, rounder, thicker, more depth more 3d. 20 years ago they where flat compared to today. Thye are much bigger. Look at legs ass hamstring, all filled up, and more conditioned...arms redicoulusly big 22 arms on  short bodies...look at the thicknes in latspread...Another level of musclethickness and fullness!

I've seen majority of the 90's guys like Chris, Dorian, Ronnie, baker, Nasser, Shawn, flex, Kevin and many more in person and no the current guys aren't bigger, they look like shit cause of the excessive gh and insulin usage, muscles aren't as dense/lean as guys yrs back
