I've never seen someone hate a Mr.Olympia like people hate or bash Phil.
He is the best, muscle bellies are out of this world and looks like a cartoon character in real life.
He is arrogant/confident but he has a right to be, he is the best. Dorian was also arrogant and phil would crush Dorian.
Is it jealousy?

Phil Heath lacks charisma. Arnold was a dick too back in his day, but he had enormous charisma. Bottom line: You can be the biggest prick in the world, but if you have charisma, you'll still attract more people than you repel.

I respectfully disagree. Take Shawn Ray for example. He is widely dislike for being a snake and just awful human being like Phil, but his physique was amazing. Should have won some Olympias but competed against great bodybuilders in a great era.

Because he has a terrible personality, he's fake, and doesn't know how to get along with people. It's not just fans that have picked up on it on social media. Many of his peers feel the exact same way the fans do. A lot of them don't like him at all nor do they respect him.

Has done nothing to further bodybuilding

personal life aside, the current Mr. O always gets bashed around here. It's a standard of perfection that can't be met. But when they retire or get dethroned, some time passes, they tend to get respected.

I actually don't care for his physique and I don't really care that he is cocky - I find those who are against cockiness to mostly be people who are accustomed with being mediocre and hating others who have different ways of approaching striving to be the best. One way is to be cocky, to talk yourself up and put pressure on yourself to perform.
