basically that 70's style gore/horror, ie no plot but if you watch it to be entertained rather than educated it's an ok way to waste an hour and a half, kinda like getgbig minus reading a shizzo post

Saw this too, I'd give it a 5.5 - 6. It's not a great film, but a fun time waster. Very basic "Most Dangerous Game" or "Running Man" plot mixed with 70's style gore. I really like the way Zombie films his original films, he's pretty good at capturing a grind house feel, but you can see the budget constraints on this one, small cast, limited scenery, etc.... Cast is pretty good, with the stand out being the main bad guy that shows up in the last 3rd of the film or so. As a side note, he'd make a fine Joker in a Batman film.

You may want to wait till the director's cut comes out in a few weeks, as it has many gore and sex scenes restored.

Another fine low budget film, was Gibson's "Blood Father". Very fine actioneer that proves Gibson still has it.

I watched "Vision Quest" again the other day for the first time in many years.  Great 80's movie about wrestling and getting laid.  Linda Fiorentino was in her prime and hot as fuck.  Best soundtrack ever.  Good movie if you haven't seen it -- also it's Dana White's favorite film so that's important to note.

As far as Rob Zombie -- when I say "House of 1000 Corpses" I was blown away.  It was one of the best camp horror films I'd ever seen.  He also crushed it with the remake of "Halloween" which was so much fucking better than the original.  "Devil's Rejects" was decent, but then the wheels fell off.  I saw that "Witches of Salem" or whatever it was and it was literally the worst fucking movie ever.  A week later I watched his 2nd installment "Halloween 2" and it was such a pile of shit.  It's hard to believe he could come out so strong with his first couple films and then turn into such a terrible film maker.  Head scratcher for me.

Boogie Nights and Rocky are the two best films ever, on a side note.
