Cerebral Palsy Can't Stop This Bodybuilder
When he was 11 months old, Wade McCrae Washington was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. He also has severe scoliosis and was told by doctors that he wouldn't live past 10 years old. But Washington was determined to overcome these challenges, and he took up weightlifting. He's now 45, and recently received his professional card for bodybuilding. He has no intention of slowing down...

Kidding aside, the only problem I saw is he seemed to have a well intentioned but under educated trainer cobbling together exercise aids which could lead an injury at some point.
On the other hand they have a history so maybe she knows what he's capable of. Pushing for progress might be just what he needs.
I'm a man of hate. That's understood. But I can't hate on this dude except insofar as he makes me hate on myself for being a comparatively lazy bastard content to go through motions while he's out there beating doctors' predictions with his hard work.

Exactly. The man is an inspiration. The kidding I do, is out of love and respect.

I do this dance every time something inspirational comes along. I'm uninspirable. I'm humbled that people are enduring and kicking ass when I've been basically gifted a winning hand that I've always been content to just play out. I still work hard but not like that. Like a guy overcoming a handicap. So then I feel bad.
And then I feel bad because I recognize it's not even about me and I'm not supposed to be so self centered, so the mission becomes how to stop feeling bad for being self centered because I'm self centered and would like to stop feeling bad.
That guy's great and I'm a fucking asshole. Thanks a lot for the inspiration, Bay.

Very inspirational and motivational.

There has been a thread recently about a spastic bodybuilder.
I hope he does well, but what's the point here, dude ?

Respect for this man and his endeavor.
Once he realises he has to pay dues to win plastic medals, he will quit though. :'(
-
All of the above - plus, at this exact moment in time, his arms are bigger than Ronnies, so kudos!
