It seem like no one trained rear delts back in the days...nor the 80ies...Arnold did not train the rear deltoid, its pretty obvious by looking at him...
I think that muscle became popular in the 90s...having a rear deltoid popping out from the side...
When did ham/glute development got popular? In the 90s aswell?
Bodybuilder nowday is fucking developed from head to to...not a singel muscle who isent there...

Im sure you focus more on cock development than anything else.

He did.
In his Encyclopedia, he tells a story how he kept light dumbbells under his bed and when he woke up he would lie on the side of the bed and use them. I think he used it as an example of focusing on bringing up a weaker part.

I do incline butt raises for my upper glutes and decline butt raises for my lower glutes.
-
Most intermediate gym rats at my gym do nothing but incline bench on the smith machine, bicep curls, shrugs and endless reverse flyes. This builds the trap-heavy permabulker physique they so desire.

you are right! no attension to rear deoltoid make incomplete! person turn side ways and cant' see rear only front and side but no rear to be seen. do push up with weigth on your back like a plate or two plate or trhree plate will fix no rear problem and front and side stay ok

It was the oil and site injections that made them pop out. Oil injections started in the late 80's

I believe it was August 4th, 1964.

Bodybuilders have always been developed. But now, with the addition of new and improved drugs, they can develop their bodies to a greater extent.

This may be the answer for the non existing rear delt. Swinging weights never build muscles! Rear delt work like one 1/10 second in the bottom of the movement, 9/10 of the movement come from momentum and swing. Muscles need to be contraced and squeezed! He should have done other exercises for rear delt! Like reverse flymaschine, best ever exercises for rear delt!
Arnolds knowledge about building muscles isn't very great. He was in an era when the competition was weak. Bodybuilders nowdays know more than he does. This is evolution. Its like listen to an doctor from the 1930s. 90% of their knowledge is now worthless!

Nothing looks more retarded than those guys with unbalanced shoulders (no side/rear delts) with their shitty posture.
If you want good posture and shoulder health front and rear delts must be balanced.
Always train front delt last in your shoulder routine too. Presses will NOT give you 3D delts. Just big front delts and a better bench.

Flex was one of the first to focus big time on his rear delt development

There was a video of Arnold training in the gym recently and it looked like he didn't really know what he was doing. On different machines and not squeezing the muscle and elbows way out of position. Very strange. Like he forget how to train the muscle...
Here he is training like every other old guy in the gym that doesn't know how to use most of the equipment.
