There are so many lols  in this movie. This is one of those movies not intended to be funny but is HILARIOUS.

I actually prefer it to karate kid, yes it's hilarious too which helps

This, American Ninja 2 and Roadhouse were movies I watched weekly in the summer as a kid.  Good times.  Thanks for the reminder that life used to be simple and fun.

Thank goodness the days of martial arts movies is over. I remember in the early-mid 90's, these movies were exploding. For the most part, they have died out. Good riddance.

ah, those movies were before MMA was even a used term.  Now you can watch real smash-mouth action instead of scripted stuff

Yes, which is probably why these movies died out. Though, Seagal still makes some of these movies.

To be fair van damme used to take a beating in most of his films despite his fighting ability. I can't  think of one film from seagulls heyday where he showed trouble with a few guys at once, let alone 1 on 1.

he put on a lot of weight.  too bad, his first couple of films showed real promise.
