World class upper body but those legs....
Even for the '80s it seemed a weak point.
-
Did he have any leg or back injuries?
-
In the 80s lifters were more realistic nobody wanted big cartoon legs, these days bodybuilders legs are so big they have to walk like a penguin.
-
Better balance is good but when leg muscles get to big it completely affects your mobility and anything to do with athletics...so its ridiculous.
-
They already had a Tom Platz,,, and he wasn't taking plastic trophies.
-
Levrone's right now are worse than that.

I believe that top picture was when he made a comeback to do a photo shoot in the early 90s.
-
I think he had good proportions - not everyone can rock the Quadzilla look successfully. And besides, those of us from the '80s with slimmer legs had stylish ways of camouflaging that fact...

Tony Pearson has better has a better chance of winning a pro show than Levrone has. And better legs too.

LOL true. Levrone's comeback is probably the worst I've ever seen.

That's when he made his comeback in the mid 90's. That's not him from the 80's. This is him from the 80's.

I would not have noticed if no one had brought it up.
-
Mike always moaned about his placing's.

He was criticised for being a 'pumper' if I remember rightly. People used to complain about him only using light weights LOL who cares - he looks pretty good in that '80s shot above....
I do also remember him looking f**ked up at one of the WBF shows though, out of shape and seemingly spaced on painkillers or maybe nubain or something - anyone remember that episode and what exactly happened? Didn't McMahon force them contractually to compete AND drug test them so some of them (not Strydom) had to go onstage looking like sh1t?
