I read an article where the writer stated he had spent half a day or so with him at some seminar or the like and said ronnie was at the peak of his off season and said he ate the whole time, almost continuously, not clean shit either, apparantly his focus was total protein and caloric intake, nowt else mattered

In one video he was eating at the black eyed pea 2x day. double chicken breast and lots of rice and potatoes.  THE restaurant knew what he wanted and he was coming in 2 times a day.

he probbaly ate just a like a regular joe, just ate a bit more.

Most pro bodybuilders just eat normally.
Vince Talor used to have Fruit Loops for breakfast and Pizza and Steak with ketchup.

Lets can all this pros eating clean all the time we know it's bullshit and it wouldn't work. I stay about 195 with very low BF and I have to eat junk every day I can't just eat clean I just lose size. Ronnie would be eating junk multiple times a day to be 300 it's just not possible not to. Clean food just goes straight through you.

It's bs cause of all the shit they are on, with how many IU's of gh and gear, most can eat anything and still stay 8 percent bf

There must be more important things for you to be thinking about other than Ronnie's diet from the spring of 1999

Yes but also the amount of muscle they are carrying just burns everything up. Which having that much requires a lot of gear so yeh.

Chad Nicholls was big on not eating clean in the offseason.

I recall a story where he asked Tom Prince what he ate, and Tom actually ate the chicken, brown rice and broccoli diet.

Chad said "No wonder why you haven't grown.  You can't eat that clean all of the time."

Bet he ate the best tasting food to the max - must have been a dream come true... imagine stuffing yourself with burgers, ice cream, chocolate, steak, "healthy salads" etc. and your bicep veins continually enlarging as you're literally burning through your taste buds.  :P

His "diet" consisted of injecting illegal drugs into his ass several times daily.
His "diet" also included improper lifting form and unnecessary stress put on his bones and joints.  This lack of thought and tard like judgement will keep his surgeons happy until  dumb Ron Doltman ends up in a wheelchair for life.

He couldn't spell the word diet, let alone plan and stick to one.

For a guy his size he really didn't seem to eat that much food, even if the vids are contest mode, just seemed like he wasn't a big eater, Jay seemed to eat more atleast from their vids.

I'm saying Jay seemed to eat much more then Coleman, atleast from their vids, as well as hearing Aceto talk about how much food Cutler would eat. For Coleman being that big, just seemed like he didn't really eat massive amounts to keep his size.

Yea, you're right.
I remember Jays rice cooker running 24/7 from one of his videos  ;D

Jay to me appeared like a person who could actually really eat the rice, chicken etc. all year.

I recall him saying he eats 1000g of carbs a day.

sorry but this is such a pointless post

pre contest diet is not what this thread is about

ronnie said in a recent interview he never struggled to eat enough, in fact he had nearly the opposite problem and had to hold back

surely someone who is 300 pounds needs to eat a lot to stay at that weight? otherwise fat people would be fat even though they didnt eat much at all

once you get fat you only need to stay at maintenance calories to stay fat and a 300lb fat person would have the same BMR as they had when they were 170lb.
Fat doesnt use energy or burn cals like additional muscle tissue does.

Probably ate whatever he wanted, pizza, kfc, mcdonalds etc.

Sergio Oliva, even before HGH era, said he used to eat whenever and whatever he wanted, pizza, cake etc.

He ate like an absolute pig! Constant food most of the day. One of the key factors for these mass monsters is their ability to eat food and huge amounts of it throughout the day.

I eat whatever i want and don't get fat, just fuller muscles. Ronnie genetic profile multiplies that feature for 100 times.

the reason you dont get fat is you dont eat an excess of calories on a consistent enough basis.
I eat what i like but I know not to eat too much
