Bodybuilding related, I often heard his songs or remakes of his songs while sipping a post workout 12 pack protein drink

8) S.I.P. (Sing In Peace)

Great singer? WTF? Couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. Same as Bob Dylan.
-
He had the voice of a real man and his works were versatile, ranging from cheerful to cynic. "Everybody knows" is one of my favorites.
RIP great humble man

Closing time, closing time, closing time....
-
one of the greatest rappers of all time
as well as one of the slowest rappers of all time
-
Bird On A Wire has always been one of my favorite songs. Unfortunate that he'll write no more, but he lived a long life and he was a skin dog until the end, so there's no reason to be sad.

Leonard Cohen + 4 good shots of bourbon = Tom Waits
-
Didn't know he was a musician. Loved him on Star Trek but really thought he was great on In Search Of... Used to love that show and his voice. Never understood why he didn't do more.

Sad that this is all you have to write about a man whose music is revered by so many. It's okay that his genius and voice aren't your thing, but really you should shut the fuck up.

This is not so funny as it is idiotic. At least you gave credit to his voice which was unique. More is not always better.

RIP, Leonard.

Idiotic? What the fuck is your problem gramps? I like the guy. Didn't think he was that special but I like him. His voice was good when he did narration for In Search Of... What the fuck dude. Didn't you get your share of young cock? Fuck off.

And I didn't vote for that skank Hillary either, who was revered by so many assholes, such as you. Though I must say his voice was about as bad to hear as Hillary's is. And him being a genius? Really? Yeah sure, he was a regular Einstein.

-So moving that it moves me to tears. It's as if this song was written for my wife and me. Her death did not end my enormous love for her. I guess this means we are still dancing even if only in spirit.

Keep on digging your own grave, you complete asswipe.

It's nice to know you "like the guy" even though the your post I responded to indicated otherwise. Maybe I misread the intent of your comments. If so, you have my apology.
I suspect you are trying to be witty when you wrote you liked his voice on In Search Of, since that was a different Leonard. Leonard Nimoy of Star Trek fame didn't write music as best as I can remember, although I can see how a comparison between these two guys might be made.
Thanks for calling me gramps. Some of my grandchildren use that term as well as opa and grandpapa as opposed to grandpa or grandfather. My great grandson who will be one year old this month, hasn't decided on a handle for me yet accept for his huge grin when he looks at me. It probably means I am very funny looking to him. LOL.
-
I literally got the two mixed up. I saw Leonard and I really don't look at much of the bullshit here. If I offended someone...well...fuck off.

Unfortunately he did write some music. *Cringe

Bore off you moron.
-
Even though I find his singing anything but, I am sorry to read of his passing as doubtless his work gave pleasure to a great many people.

add in Pianist/keyboardist Eddie Harsch from the Black Crowes and Leon Russell(major session RRHOF songworter session musician/pianist including beach boys studio stuff) to the music death clock this past week

ed harsch story, few years back during my drinking days at one of my regular pubs, there was a guy playing a piano during open mike with the manager on guitar, guy was awesome. after I am outside having a smoke and he is there so I "request" Elton John and he chuckles and says "no problem". A girl takes me aside and says "you know who that is? eddie harsch, played for the black crowes, has done stuff with the stones, kid rock etc etc etc." I felt a bit foolish but it showed the guy was humble because he never said a word, just played.
I should have caught that as I had the crowes albums back in the 1990's and played the fuck out of them
-
im so glad black crowes are not around any longer what an annoying band
god damn hippies
