Title: too little omega 6 in my diet
Post by: ratherbebig on November 15, 2016, 11:12:58 AM
ideal is a 1-1 ratio between omega 3 and omega 6.
most have a 1-15 ratio which is bad news.

i got a 1-2 ratio. 2 grams of omega 3 fish oils and about 4-5 grams of omega 6. so everything should be good then - but no, because recommended intake is 15-17 grams of omega 6! which means to have a 1-1 ratio you need 15-17 grams of omega 3s and who eats that?

so as it stands im getting 150% omega 3's but only 25% omega 6. i cant figure it out.

Take a few spoons of this oil per day, it has the perfect 3/6/9 ration, and no other fat sources at all in your diet, and you should be fine.

Omega 6 is really unnecessary. Most people have way too much of it in their diet. Omega 6 will often attach to Omega 3 receptors in the brain, causing psychological problems, lower intelligence, and possibly permanent brain damage.

The only ratio we're concerned with here is your "shit threads to threads started" ratio which looks to be  1-1.
