I listen to nothing for several reasons. First, I have a workout partner that I chat with. Second, I hate headphones with cords and a phone on me that gets in the way. And third I've learned how to focus. I get better and more consistent workouts if I'm not running on the emotion of a song.

Country music and rap music are both horrible.

Country is best when you need to purge your stomach contents.

I don't like Country for max attempts, etc....., but it works for steady state and volume type work. Stuff like old David Allan Coe, John Prine, Cash, George Jones, Steve Earle, etc..... I don't have any love for most new country stuff.
