That's an old pic. He looks way heavier lately and was on some roids too imo. Looked at his FB and he had some kind of emergency heart surgery a few days ago. At the same time girlfriend left him and best friend who he was staying with kicked him out. Apparent drug problems, 8mg Xanax a day, severe insomnia etc. Completely broke.

Hard to imagine blowing all that money he was once living the dream. If these guys don't save when in their prime there's often not much left. I hope it's not yet RIP time for him. Seemed like a good dude.

He's clearly on some gear in this pic, so I'm assuming it was prior to the 9th.
Didn't this guy end up in some rough shape years ago a few times from all the drugs/gear?
Safe to say, he's a junkie and can't live being small.

If mike Tyson squandered 400 million, Kenny Anderson 300 million, Antoine walker 100 million, what makes you think a bodybuilder from the 80s and 90s would have anything, money is a lie it doesn't last! Hope well wishes for David though and his family.

sad to see another bodybuilder who just couldn't evolve from the life, all those years of fluctuation hormone levels can leave the mind struggling to find its balance, a lot of guys suffer from depression post bodybuilding and it is a shame that so many end this way. No doubt a troubled soul, lets hope he can now rest in peace.

Reading his Facebook posts over the past month, it's clear he was dealing with a lot of misfortunes. Heart surgery, girlfriend left him, lost his car, friend kicked him out of his house, and was nearly broke. Sounds like a perfect recipe for a decision to end one's life, if a person is depressed, which it appears David was.

Lot of bbs and wrestlers into it back in the 90s and 2000s. Masks pain to let u train way harder to get past the burn. Also helps with injury pain. And veryyyy relaxing in evening chill with weed or alcohol. But addictive.

His rec drug problems probably predate his bodybuilding years. I have a good memory and I remember an interview where he said his teen drug use hurt his parents. Then in the early-mid 90s an interview where he talked about his drug problems and said, "I just took a Xanax, I'm ok, I'm fine"... probably talking about trying to stay off the Nubain etc. He talked about having sex for 6 hours on X and GHB.
Whatshisname, poster here, talked about seeing David at some bb show, seeing his track marks and trying to sell him some Torbugesic but Dave didn't bite.

Seems like the vast majority of those bad luck problems were caused by himself....sounds like a highly unstable mental problems type of person. Better to avoid such people. And they always blame others for their misery

Yup..... I'm alive. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns. They really do mean a lot to me. I know I've shared I'm going through a pretty rough patch and my last post was pretty grim. I'm not good or fine or even ok but we all have our ups and downs. Seems like I've been waiting for an "up" longer than I ever have before. But at least I'll REALLY appreciate some joy when it comes. I'm sorry I worried some people. I would have checked in earlier but my ex felt the need to report a post concerning her departure to the FB police and they gave me a time out. Got tons of inboxes and things to catch up on and I plan on it as soon as I catch my breath. Have a great night

What I have realised is that guys who had their glory days can go one of two ways. Some end up in jail. Like Craig Titus. Some go down terrible declines as they hold on to the past.
The ones that do best find a niche in their post bodybuilding life. Look at Ric Drasin as a good example. Or the father of Palumboism. Or Chick Chickerillo
I am sure Dave Dearth had some prime pussy and quality coke and the corvette etc when at his peak. But realistically what is left for him now as time as moved on? Could he ever rebuild his physique back? Get over the injuries and heart issues. Get his life back together? It's sad but we can all see many examples of this.

I had that experience in hospital and it was a f**ing nightmare.
I was hospitalized because of kidney stones that-as you might know-are one of the most painful conditions you can have.
The experience with morphine was even worse than the initial terrible pain.
I can't describe it, but it was like a nightmare where objects had differents shapes/dimensions than in reality and people were even worse.
I never understood why someone would inject that shit intentionally. Scary shit

Had an injection of Dilaudid for a bad kidney stone while in the emergency room. Went from non-stop excruciating pain to floating on a cloud in about 60 seconds. I can see how you'd get addicted if you had it more than once.
Of course they sent me home later with a prescription for Percocet. I passed. No need to keep medicated.

Dilaudid is superior to morphine, IMO. Less negative side effects and the high is cleaner feeling. Yeah that's about as high as you can get in the medical setting for those 60 seconds.

That's what led to my relapse. Script ran out for ultram and a customer happened to offer me fill us next day. Dudes Gf stole 1000 2mg tabs from a cancer patient. I ran through those 1000 in 2 months. Was getting like 60-90 for 20-30$. Was bangin 5-8tabs at a time every 2-4hrs. By far the best opiate id ever had. Ended up with cellulitis in both ankles that turned into sepsis. Ended up in the hospital with almost a 106° fever and getting 24-7 iv 3 drug cocktail of antibiotic
S for 3 days. Theybwanted to keep me for 7 but i said fuck that, I gotta go to Cancun this week. Plane tickets and 3 resorts already paid for.lol

I had 5yrs clean and found an 8mg dilaudid on the back steps to my apartment building. It sat on my computer for nearly 2wks. I took an 8mg suboxone one morning because I was afraid of using it (I know. Why didn't I toss it out from the door. Reservations I guess). Got home about 6pm and said fuck it. I was high until the next morning which surprised me since I didn't think I'd feel shit due to the naloxone...was I wrong.
That started a run for almost the next 3yrs, from 07 to March of 2013 I was clean. The last 3yrs have been hell all to my own doing. Finally clean a year now...

I remember taking a 200mg extended release morphine capsule(not an Ms. Contin).. Fucken thing didn't kick in all day.thought it was bunk (got it for free). Woke up the next day high as fuck and was high all day, even puked 2-3x, went to bed and woke up high the next day till noon. Lol that was before the relapse. Took it for a back injury.
