Best RLS I've seen from Wheeler. His chest looks really small in that MM. He looks good, but Ronnie still would win. Bigger and better condition.

Flex said if he replicated his 98 Arnold condition he would have beaten Ronnie 1998 Olympia , I doubt it

Flex was the reason I started following bodybuilding. I liked Dorian's work ethic and Shawn Ray's business accueman and attitude towards bodybuilding. I never could connect to Arnold as important as he is to bodybuilding. I knew him as an action hero and when I looked as his physique it was in the 90s and it was outdone by all the greats in the 90s so I never really appreciated him. I do now though. Lee Haney is my favorite overall now because overall as bodybuilder and a man he's been a consumate professional, and incredible representative of what it's is to be man and a bodybuilder in a "sport" full of narcissism.

Flex was depleted in those pics. He nailed his fullness & conditioning on contest day.

You doubt that Flex would win or you doubt Ronnie would win?

Flex's condition at the 1998 AC was still not as good as 1998 Ronnie's.

Not even close. One of Ronnie's chest muscles are the size of both of Flex's. Flex really was narrow.

I agree that Flex was very wrong about being able to beat Ronnie if he (Flex) replicated his 1998 ASC conditioning.

Ronnie outmuscled Flex very convincingly at the 1998 Olympia. Flex got demolished IMO. Ronnie's pecs, back, thighs, glutes, erectors, and biceps were world class. Flex had no chance.

Mind you 1998 Mr Olympia was a very close contest , and Flex has beaten Ronnie multiple times before. I doubt he would but you never know.

Maybe i'm in the minority, but outside of how he looked in 93, just not a fan of his physique.

It wasn't really close Ronnie was just overlooked in the first round. Once they saw how good he was he won three rounds with straight firsts.

Was it Royalty who said that Flex was said that Ronnie won in 1998, but in reality it was not even close to not even being close?

If so, Royalty was right about that.

I agree

93 was one of the best physiques ever but he was so inconsistent imo, oil everywhere very noticeable in arms and delts, in ways his later yrs were very overrated

Amazing when you look at Flex and think damn he's got it in the bag and then there right next to him stands Ronnie - even better! That is how I recall it back when they were competing. Ronnie was fantastic in the late 90s.

Flex was NEVER anywhere near as shredded as Ronnie downstairs. Maybe his genetic kidney condition made it difficult to dry out?

nether animal i think it was flex's laziness as well

but i dont care what anyone says, at one point flex had one of the most pleasing builds ever to step foot on the stage.

As much as I dislike Phil, he'd smash this version of Flex.

as good as the 93 flex was, his lack of sweeping lats will always hurt him against Ronnie. post 93 it seemed it was synthol central with Flex

It could be, who really knows. Also, Ronnie would be too big for a 1998 AC Flex.

Here is a rare pic of Flex at the 1998 AC Prejudging. Great back as always, but from the waist down from behind is where Flex comes second best to Ronnie.

Yet 1993 Flex couldn't beat 1993 Dorian.

It would made the judges job a lot harder. My opinion it could have gone either way.
