Title: Iron Debate Show
Post by: Go 4 It on December 14, 2016, 05:54:04 PM
So I was watching Rx's Iron Debate with Palumbo, Aceto, and Romano..they were talking about MD and how Blechman owes a lot of the employees money, saying Farah hasn't been paid in almost 2 years amongst various others, for one that sucks, but at what point would you as an employee just quit? I mean if you're a guy who works at lets say Starbucks and one week goes bye and the manager says he doesn't have a check for you, then 2 weeks, I'm pretty sure any person with somewhat of an understanding of business and common sense would quit immediately, why are these dudes still hanging around and working for free? It just seems preposterous? 2 years without a paycheck?

Is it possible that the unpaid employees just get enough social media attention from MD that it helps them financially in other ways?

How did The Rock get on board with George Farah?  I always assumed Dwayne learned about George through MD.

Could that be it?

GO4, I no longer have any idea who works for whom and what kind of works those 'who' work for who actually do.

When I was involved .... I knew everything (or thought I did).

But anyone who works for someone without getting paid for more than a week or so .... most likely works in that job  on a part time basis (not 8 hours a day like the common man) or definitely has an outside income source.

I have no idea what his job involves but he probably submits articles for inclusion in the next pub.

If you submit articles as a magazine article writer and get paid by the word or by the submitted article ... it could be an easy job and the writer may be willing to keep on writing with he anticipation that things will turn around and he'll get paid sooner or later.

Or it could just be a simple matter of loyalty!

Stunt..they were naming various people, different bodybuilders, trainers like Charles Glass, photogs, writers...im pretty sure these guys have contracts..whatever the case may be..no person with any common business  sense would go weeks/months without getting paid..its unheard of in any business industry other than bodybuilding. .why is that?

GO4, If I can contact the non-paid participants, I'll do my best to provide an accurate answer ...... But in the meantime .... A good friend of Popeye's once said something that might apply and offer some temporary satisfaction to abate  your curiosity .... which I, myself, find to be very interesting ....

Oh yea, WHIMPY once said, "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today!"

But I have no idea if he ever got that burger, so this may not apply too very much.

Where the hell if VINCE xyxphd when he's needed?! He might have the inside scoop or something similar to it.

GO4, I was only able to watch the first 12 minutes of Dave's Iron Debate Show before something caused the internet service to go off (sound only for some strange reason) but it looked to me like your non-payment questions were answered pretty thoroughly and intelligently.

That discussion would have been more interesting if one of the non-paid employees was interviewed (especially Shawn).

And add Dallas to see how he blends in with the mix.

Hell! Even Blechman should have been contacted to give his side the story. Maybe that will be coming up next.

Thanks for this initial introduction to the Iron Debate show as I never knew it existed.

I also just found MUSCLESPORTMAGAZINE.com which offers inside info ... much of which I find to be very interesting.

Thanks, Rather! I'll be watching RX Muscle programs more frequently now as I found the above to be very interesting.

I'd rather read about the behind the scenes stuff rather than who won the Oly and why the others didn't!

it's a pretty good site, theyre not heavy on commercials or plugging their stuff, they got some interesting guests, they got the show pros vs joes where pro bodybuilders compete against regular guys (well non pros at least)
