On today's drugs, he'd wipe the floor with just about anyone on the circuit in 2017.

That might depend on how his waist/stomach responds to the additional drugs.  He was a top six pro bodybuilder at his peak, and I think he could be if he was around to compete in today's era.  Keep in mind that he turned 40 the year of the video that Royalty posted, and he peaked around 1991 at age 38, relative to the competition.

Right or wrong - I maintain personally that if we're talking about 'symmetry' Sonny is among the top 5 all time physiques...

He destroyed him in every single comp...benfatto has big head syndrome, knocks his symmetry out of whack

Sonny wasnt a midget. The taller the bber, the more impressive it is if they are filled out and balanced.

It kind depends. Some guys like Shawn Ray you can't even tell they are short in pics, but guys like Benfatto, Brisbois and to a lesser extent Labrada the big head is a dead giveaway.

you got a point about the head but the body is supposed to be judged in this case, not the head

I know. By bbing judging standards these guys are amazing, but how many times have you heard stories about fans meeting their "larger than life" heroes in person and being shocked at how small they are? They lie about weight and height.

thats true, but a friend of my mother who has a son that works in hollywood told him that most stars are rather short, and also that shorter people with bigger heads look better on camera like tom cruise for example

Impressive lines, for sure.  And I'm the first to admit that I've always enjoyed the more 'artistic' posing style as opposed to the 'stomp up and down pointing at the crowd, cupping the ear and demanding a response while imitating Gene Simmons' Branch style... although that has its place.

But the idea that the lines Sonny is displaying here are in some way inferior to Monsieur Benfatto is a step too far, mon ami...
