That the cheerful 19-year-old can barely climb a staircase without a handrail, one believes only when one has seen it. Julien has been suffering from a constantly worsening spasticity for four years. But to put his head in the sand is not a question for him. He shows his illness his teeth. And he would like to help other people with handicaps.
"I do not know how long I've been," Melvin says, "I used to be stumbling over my own feet, and I was the dub." Spasticity was diagnosed at the age of 14 years, but why the boy tormens the constant muscular tension is still unclear.
