Lundgren was a much better competitive fighter, has an enormous reach advantage, and weighs much more than Van Damme. Both cool to look at in movies, but in a real street fight Van Damme would get dry raped.

Looking back, I think He-Man (the toys, not the movie) was one of the reasons, if not the initial reason I got interested in bbing. I had all the toys... Castle grey-skull, etc... I th I k that was even before i saw my first bbing show on tv at about age 4 (saw Shawn ray, haney, Vince taylor, etc back when we still had a 4th with a dial with like 13 channels.dad was a school teacher so in was home all summer so I had no baby sitter & has the tv to myself while pops was in the back yard sun tanning. Lol)... Then it was WWF with hulk hogan, super fly snuka, (b4 than ultimate warrior and the road warriors & wcw/liver/Steiner).... Then it was g.i.Joe toys with that dude "Roadblock" or Whatever his name was. Dude was diesel. Lol.
Ahhh... Good 'ol days.

If I remember correctly Chuck Zito, the Hells Angel that appeared on the Howard Stern show years ago, told a story how he got into a fight with JCVD while body guarding some celeb in a NY club.
He said before Van Douche could aim his leg and kick Zito had already hit him 2x in the grill and dropped him like a bag of wet clothes lol...judging from Zito's size and past I believe it. All the Hong Kong Phooey looks good on the silver screen but in street fighting applications the brawler wins.

It was at the Scores strip club in NY like ten years ago.
They used to be friends but had had a falling out.
Zito used to be a Hollywood stuntman as well as a celebrity bodyguard. Also, he has had some parts in some movies like "Gia" and even in Van Damme's movie "Nowhere to Run."
He is (or was) a NY Hell's Angel. I believe he was president of the New York Chapter for a time.
He body guarded Stallone, Mickey Mourke, Van Damme... and many others.

Read somewhere that he was with Mickey Rourke. No idea if it's true.
Zito used to box also so I think he had an easy time with "Vain Dame".

This is not true.
As reported by frequent Stern guest Chauncey Hayden, the guy who wrote that Stepping Out gossip magazine, Van Damme was semi-conscious on the floor. He almost went to sleep.
Hayden was there.
