Normally I would hold these for a “Throwback”, but I kind of follow my own rules – and I already posted them on FB a while back. These are from when I was a police officer in Illinois – MANY years ago! I was between the ages of 22-24 in the pics. LOVED being a cop and I was damn good at it! I enjoyed it tremendously and potentially could’ve been satisfied with that job the rest of my life; however, life will take you in different directions sometimes. Here’s a story I’ve never told before: When I left the department, I took a year’s leave of absence as I couldn’t decide if I really wanted to leave and with the direction I was heading (nutrition/contest prep advisor) I wasn’t 100% certain making a solid living was feasible. The last day of work I was talking to one of my Sergeants and he asked why I was taking the leave. I told him I wanted to pursue a career in nutrition and specialize in professional athletes. He was like you want to be a personal trainer and you want to leave the department for that? I said, “NO, I want to be a “Nutritionist” and work with professional athletes.” He asked me if there was a lot of money in that line of work, I said, “No, right now, there’s none – nobody is really getting paid for it.” He said, “Then why do you think you can do it and make a living from it?” It was at that moment that I knew that I wouldn’t be stopped - I knew I would push my stubborn ass as hard as I could to do something that really no one else had done yet. However, I also knew the “positive” for an athlete to have a good nutritionist in their corner – I saw how Kim only had to worry about training and she didn’t have to worry about any other aspect – I covered that for her – how to eat, when to eat, everything – and I knew the huge benefit that would be to other athletes. The rest is history – I never returned to the police department and I’ve done pretty well for myself. And – hopefully have paved the way for others to make a living in an amazing industry working with amazing people and doing what they love. #BacktheBlue #Uniform #MakeYourOwnWay

Although not a competitive BB himself, Chad was a pretty big guy back then. Definetely underrated size-wise, probably pretty intimidating wearing a uniform and a gun.

Huge but most likely bad proportions. His "babysitting" job must have made him a fortune.
