I didn't vote for the man, but, I'll admit he might turn out to be a decent POTUS.
Some of you are so in the tank for him, it's unreal.
I swear, some here would crack a nut sniffing his balls after he popped Melania.
He's the new POTUS and he might do some good stuff, but c'mon.
The man is 70 yrs old , with a 54" waist and a chipmunk fur glued to his melon.
I hope he does a good job for the USA, but c'mon, he's just a man, not a GOD.

they crave an authoritative daddy figure to frame the scary and complicated world in very simple terms so they feel safe and secure and they don't really care if it's total bullshit or not

I've been self employed my entire life and don't depend on the government for anything (other than the basic shit we all pay taxes for like police, fire department, water department, etc..)
If my business fails I can't even get unemployment benefits
Of course I also pay for my own insurance

kind of reminds me of a guy I know from the gym. He told me he voted for Trump because he hates socialism
This guy works for the city and when he retires he'll get a defined benefit pension for the rest of his life and he'll likely get free or very cheap healthcare for the rest of his life. He got these great benefits because the "workers" were able to collectively bargain.

I know a lot of military guys like that. They rail against pensions for public workers, but are totally happy milking the govt teat themselves. Hey, they got theirs. One guy I know got 40% disability in addition to his military pension because he injured himself not on top of a grenade to save his buddies, but because he hurt his fat ass in an off duty pickup basketball game. Claimed it was during PT. "Gotta stay in shape" was his smarmy response.
