A big tax cut may be coming. The salient question is who will get it? I suspect the biggest benefactors will be corporate entities; specifically large corporate entities. Now, I don't mind cutting corporate taxes; in fact, I welcome any tax cuts.
But the reality is that individual & family income taxes are insane. As it stands right now, wikipedia reports that (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Income_tax_in_the_United_States) for a single person, the tax brackets are:
| $0 - $9,325 | 10% |
| $9,326 – $37,950 | 15% |
| $37,951 – $91,900 | 25% |
| $91,901 – $191,650 | 28% |
| $191,651 – $416,700 | 33% |
| $416,701 – $418,400 | 35% |
| $418,401+ | 39.6% |
Sure, deductions may reduce these percentages slightly, just reading these percentages makes me want to vomit... the government is taking a large amount of our income from us at the point of the proverbial gun. And for what? To pay for reconstructing Mitch McConnell's baboon-mauled face, fighting the war on Nancy Pelosi's sagging face, and buying tiny fucking clown cars for the Washington circus?
We should not tolerate having our wallet plundered while the Government whispers sweet nothings in our ear. And we shouldn't tolerate another tax cut that will allow companies to pay less, while doing fuck-all to reduce the rates we all pay.
