His one and only title defense... and he was clearly off from the year before. He was simply never able to recapture that perfect condition. Great back.

He looks natural here in comparison to the year before. He has Michigan roots too. Remember seeing him and Ron Love among others at the
Lincoln Park (MI) Powerhouse gym.

Samir lived in Michigan before he came to California.

At his best, he was flawless. Just sheer perfection imho.

Evidently, he did not know who you were and that you don't take kindly to such disrespect.
He will go through life having no idea how different his fate would have been if moods were a tad less kindly.

That's interesting. That's where my dad grew up...

He hit on everybody's ex, he hit on wives, he hit on girlfriends, everyone. Don't consider yourself special.

A friend of mine (in his very early 20s) had to call him up and tell him to back off his girlfriend. Then it apparently turned into something of a life/morality lesson with this friend of mine telling him, "Samir, you have to grow up, you are a Mr. Olympia, this is no way to be living" and then Samir agreeing with him and saying he was going to work on getting his act together.
Must have been a hilarious phone call, some kid from Oklahoma fresh off the bus in Golds Gym giving a Mr. Olympia a heart to heart talking to about shaping up.

I thought it was pretty well known that Samir was a womanizer.

YES, he WAS. In fact he surpassed it in 1990 by FAR, but was overlooked. Pictures speak for themselves.
-
That was a good one-off performance there, but I don't think it is better than '83.

I thought it was pretty well known that Samir was a womanizer.
Yeah , that really hurt your chances with him.... >:(
-
I remember Samir saying that Viator and Mentzer both failed trying to deadlift 500 something. He said he walked up and deadlifted it. He was an Olympic lifter back in his original country.

1985 was the changing of the guard so to speak, where physiques began taking a different look all together - new wave of hormone protocols

You should know what your talking about before opening your filthy mouth. Kindly go back to sucking
black cock.

I grew up in Allen Park, which borders Lincoln Park.

The filthy hobo you were sucking off in the Barnes and noble bathroom obviously didn't think you were special.

I agree here. He is a great example of legs that match the upper body perfectly. This guy achieved just the right amount of muscle to look big yet not look like he "played the size game". He does look like a greasy salesman though. ;D
-
Samir and Lee
-
Certainly Samir was not as good as in 1983, but 6th place was not correct.

Well, see where you were going with this, but wouldn't go as far as saying that Grunge revived rock. Two incredibly different genres with different musical traits.
However, it's the closest any genre other than 2000s pop punk came to reviving rock...

If I were a joo, then yes, I probably would have been. LOL.
