On average, will the guys in the video live longer than IFBB Pros?

I get a feeling that Louie (and this is just a feeling) may have used the N-word a couple of times in his life/last couple hours

so,, the OP has a lot in common with him

they both don't know squat about deadlifts and both do that "I'm not raciist...I have black friends...however, there is a difference between "Black people" and "niiggers" " spiel

I get a feeling, and this is just a feeling, that Louie is not a Social Justice Warrior.

JNN, in your opinion, if Louie was going to become a Social Justice Warrior, what social issue do you think he would try to conquer?

IMO, Strongman, Powerlifters (even elite) will outlive today's national or pro competing Bodybuilders by at least 20 years.

I asked you how you were so sure of this and you didnt provide an answer. You just made an assertion without an explanation.

I'll give you more if an answer when I get back. But since there are no studies that I know of, let's call it pure observation.

Does it come down to drug use?

Does it come down to drug use?

The big thing with powerlifters/strongmen and mortality is post career weight management, and staying off rec drugs. Generally, most of the guys that die early had recreational drug or drinking problems or they developed weight control problems. They retired and still ate like they did when they were training, and ballooned up, and developed typical weight related illnesses.

I liked then a lot more in the 80s and 90s. Not a fan of the ultra wide squats that only work with the monolift.
Simmons knows what he's doing though, the results speak for themselves. He just seems to get angrier and more opinionated every year. There's no debating him on anything, he's always right lol.
Not sure why they want to act like that, pit bulls, fighting and the fuck everyone attitude, weird dudes

For as much "good" Westside/Louie has done for powerlifting, it/he has equally damaged it.

I respect Westside, and at one time desired to lift there, but have since come to understand its hand in tarnishing powerlifting's reputation and casting it into that of a forever-underground sport.

How has it been tarnished? Seems to me that he and Dave Tate have brought powerlifting more to the mainstream. Same with Mark Bell.

Yes ... and helped divide feds and create incredible confusion and/ or faith in lifting standards. Thereby throwing large-scale mockery onto it.
