Just get as lean as you can bro, like vascular lean, and your skin color won't matter.

Definitely with a tan...altho I've been known to overdo it with the melanotan.

I agree with this. The one caveat I'd add is that vascularity goes better with a tan. Really pale with vascularity is a look not many people can pull off, it tends to be a very severe and intense look on many people.
