Your point is very valid, and it has no real defendable answer.Especially in the case of pigs who are proven to be just as loyal and more intelligent in many tests.

But I guess if circumstances were different, and I never had experienced having a dog as a pet I wouldn't feel anything at all.

I can't speak from a position where I was worried about my next meal and often felt true hunger. Just a sad situation.

Had to put our 13.5 year old dog to sleep recently. Hardest thing ever, held her until her last breath. I can still feel my hands going through her fur. All of us are missing her daily. Irreplaceable, we loved her a lot. There is a big presence missing in the house. Throughout her 12 years with us I had only been apart from her for 2 weeks.

These type of pictures made us go vegan for 2 1/2 years. Of course as we found out that is not a healthy way to live. And we studied and did it the right way but you body falls apart after a while.

Nowadays we eat locally sourced and ethically produced meat.

what is the nutritional value in bacon, sausage, hot dogs, pepperoni? there is NONE and eating these foods directly contributes to the number 1 killer of humans, heart disease

maybe ribs and pork tenderloin are good protein sources, but what about all the saturated fat and cholesterol? how much protein do people really need anyways

now why should these animals suffer and be tortured if eating them is causing humans to die? perhaps humans get what they deserve

at least chicken has nutritional value, i don't think chickens are very bright either

You ever see what a dog, ANY dog, does when they find a rotting carcass? It makes pigs look clean as fuck.
