Yes?

I see no point in them. You have to scrub off crusties before loading. If you're gonna wash the dishes before you wash the dishes then just wash the fucking dishes.
But that dude's a 'why buy toilet paper when leaves are free' kind of loony.

Dishwasher is one of the best inventions ever, ours broke recently and I hesitated to replace it as soon I'm ripping the kitchen out and extending/rebuilding it ect and want an integrated one so didn't want to buy a freestanding one that would be useless in a few months and the time without it was torturous, I estimate I was averaging one less cup of tea made and fetched to the couch each day while wor lass was busy washing dishes. I couldn't stand this much longer and bought an integrated one and screwed it in place temperate with studwork.

Wife insists on having a dishwasher. I think it's easier to wash and dry as you go. She fills the dishwasher to capacity then we have to unload it. I'd rather use a plate, fork, frying pan and cup then wash it and put it away immediately.

you are not a modern thinking Man are you? I love my dishwasher!

This poor bastard sounds like he's trying to convince himself, that his tiny house with no dishwasher is justified. He's obviously never had the fruits of a great dishwasher. Sounds like he has dishwasher envy to me. :D

Buy a proper dishwasher, and you don't have to pre scrub. I cook/eat, throw everything in there with no rinsing, and they come out spotless each time. Even baked on casserole dishes go straight in with no pre rinsing. :)
-
yes, never used a dishwasher in 15 years, not needed for a 1 and sometimes (weekends only :D) person household
-
Never had one.

Alright, I haven't used one in decades so maybe they're better now. Don't know how much time it'd really save me tho. I'm the fastest sponge in the west.
Crockery of peace.

I'm a registered aroma therapy technician any my bouquet is second to none.

If one is that lazy to clean the dishes manually or use a dishwater, just use plastic.

THIS. I use the same tupperware daily, so it gets washed at night, and ready for the meals the next day.

I bet it smells awful.

Dishwasers are terrible for the environment. They waste too much water, which is a valuable resource. Thats why I just use paper plates,Styrofoam cups and plastic utensils.

People don't believe me when I tell them I own one spoon, one plate and one bowl.

Are you not married, and no kids?
It makes sense. For a single person, there is no need for more than 2 plates, 2 forks, 2 spoons, and 2 knives (in case you have company).

How do you cut your steaks? ???
-
Dishwashers suck so bad.
The dishes are never properly washed and smell of food and junk.
-
i get all my meals delivered!
thanks rich piana!
-
I hand wash. Dishwasher is faster but doesn't do as good of a job.

As a disciple of True Adonis, all my spiced meats are cooked sous vide style.
Prime rib so tender you can cut it with a spoon.

If you have to rinse off everything prior to putting it in why not had soap and finish the job?
-
Rarely do I use the dishwasher. Overall faster to wash, drip dry, put away.
-
Each of the several condos in which I've lived have had dishwashers. Not even once have I used any of them. For instance, my current one, I can't even tell you if it works.
As a few others say, I wash meal to meal.
Never copped to the advantage of using a dishwasher.
-

Dawn, bro. The choice of champions. ;D
-
Never used one.
-
I see no point in them.
The point is it's a place to stash the dishes instead of washing them, so you can get back to posting on getbig.
fuckin' no0b. ::)

I don't have a dishwasher and it sucks ass! :(

Dishwashers are great. Rinse load add soap, walk away do other things in your life. The real challenge, could you live without a washing machine. I did for a month and hand washed clothes. Talk about brutal. Appliances are great and energy-efficient using very little water and power these days. Makes life a lot easier when one is busy.

I just repaired ours yesterday, after the boot seal ripped. Went a week without it.....any more days would've gotten uncomfortable.

I've functioned without a dishwasher and I've functioned with a dishwasher.
Me, I'd rather keep the wife.

Lots of forever alone bachelors in this thread.
Dont need a dishwasher when you just go upstairs from the basement to the groundfloor and hand over the dishes to your mom or your sister.
