Samir told me that he was in 1983...compared to how he looked in 1982 at the Mr. Olympia in Wimbledon, London where he apparently looked better.
Wimbledon sounds like a filming location for Mr. Bean!!!

Their posing styles were more sensual in the 80's I see. The idea of conveying physical strength and male sensuality. :)
Today bodybuilders are more mechanical in style.

Samir told me that as well, at the 2010 Mr. Olympia. I asked him what he thought of Bertil that year, and he said that Bertil deserved top three. I do agree with Samir's assessment there. Bertil deserved top three...although likely not the top spot that Samir took that year.
How would Jeff King in his Mr. Universe form from 1983 have fared at the Olympia?
