Title: Kong Skull Island vs Peter Jackson's version
Post by: obsidian on March 31, 2017, 12:17:16 AM
Which do you prefer? The new Kong is massive and growing so they can pit him against Godzilla in a few years. The movie had its moments but I really prefer Peter Jackson's version. Not sure why it has been knocked by some - probably because they don't like dindus being portrayed as savages. And many of those dindus were actually white people painted with black face lol!

It did win a few Oscars I believe. The Trex fight scenes in PJ's version were amazing. I also think Kong displayed a lot more personality in the 2005 version. And I liked the character development with Brody / Naomi and many of the other characters. The 2005 version is the best Kong so far imo.

Peter Jackson's version was good but could have been better. Some parts were too cheesy and the part where Kong and Watts were playing on ice was stupid as fuck.
Haven't yet seen Skull Island. Looks like fun though.

The original King Kong was the best version so far.

Saw Skull Island last week out of sheer boredom.  It had a few good parts, but mostly just another CGI shit fest, which is what I expected.  Only one decently looking chick with nice tits, but unfortunately no nipples were showing.

Adrien Brody was a playwright in PB's kong

At least Jeff Bridges was a Paleontologist which gave him some animal background

Why did PB CAST AB as a playwright?

I prefer the 1933-version (King Kong), the 1962-version, the 1976-version (with Jessica Lange) and the PJ-version.

The 1933-version
