Dr. Ben Carson has discovered over $500 billion (that's with a 'B') in errors and accounting mistakes during his audit of the Obama administration’s Housing and Urban Development budget.
One of Dr. Carson’s first orders after being confirmed as the Secretary of HUD was a thorough audit of the agency, which has been accused of fraud and over-budgeted projects throughout the entire Obama administration.
What did the auditors find? Over $520 billion in budgetary mistakes and clerical errors.

All these "mistakes" and "errors" kept piling up unnoticed until they reached $520 billion? Will anyone be held accountable for this?

no mainstream media outlet is reporting this alleged 520 billion discrepancy from a report that has been out for months
the Hannity link didn't provide any details either
You'd think the HUD Secretary claiming he found a half trillion dollar discrepancy would make the news
It's being reported on Faux News but all they do is repeat the text from Hannity
They did add this
The same problems were detailed for each of the last three audits, and the auditors say the continued problems “were due to an inability to establish a compliant control environment, implement adequate financial accounting systems, retain key financial staff, and identify appropriate accounting principles and policies."
Now that Ben has found this he can actually fix it
Should be interesting to follow how this works out

If that is the case, the previous heads of the agency who did not act on this and did not implement the proper measures to correct this need to be held accountable. What were they being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars of our money for?

I don't know that the 500 billion claim is accurate (not saying that it isn't)
no details have been provided
I would guess that auditing other government agencies that disburse taxpayer funds to states and cities would yield similar horrifying results
Isn't the Pentagon supposedly a black hole as well and allegedly "un-auditable"
