anyone worked out there back then?

I am too young to have worked out there. However, I picked up some bodybuilding books before I went into a gym, at the age of eleven or twelve and I must say those photos hit home with me and have me remembering a better time in which the gym atmosphere was better and not overrun by heavily tattooed, over-drugged, bloated, degenerate whiggers and ninjas dressing like fifteen year olds after mommy had them visit the clearance rack at Modell's.

Would like to see the full collection of photos of Gladys Porteguese.
What is Brian Moss up to today?

That gym was all over the magazines back in the 80s as the hip place to be when training in NYC. I'd bet all the greats passed through and there are probably some amazing pictures and stories.
Someone should do a book or appoint themselves as a bodybuilding archeologist to make sure it is not all lost down the memory hole.

i remember that in the early 80īs there was also a Better Bodies Gym in the Netherland (Middleharnis, a small town not so far from Rotterdam and Belgium Border). Many US-Pros (Robby Robinson, Mike Quinn,..) trained there, and of course Ms. Olympia
Juliette Bergman.
Last months i was in Thailand, and there is still a "better Bodies Gym" near Jomtien. Juliette Bergman was there, also Gary Strydom who lives in Bangkok trained there sometimes.

Those pics look like they were taken on the set of a Village People video.

BB was a big deal in the eighties bodybuilding world. Brings back a lot of memories.
Recently I saw a girl in my gym wearing a Better Bodies tank. Commented on it and the name's historical significance.
She had zero clue about it, what it was or who Brian Moss is.

Trained at Better Bodies quite a few times in the late 80's and early 90's. Great fucking gym. Brian Moss was awesome. The gym was located in tge basement of a vuilding in the Chelsea neighborhood. The stairwell down to the gym was autographed by a whis who of bodybuilders at the time. The gym walls were painted black. Tons of mirrors. Some couches around the gym floor. So 80's NYC awesome. Ahead of its time but never again will there be a gym like that. And hell...it was the 80's. Watched Bertil Fox and Serge Nubret train in the gym at the same time in 1989. They were both in town for the Ms. O.
