I never gave Tom's 1984 Mr. O physique a chance until I checked out the pics from the show. WTF!! He looked AMAZING!! Torn bicep or not, he was in incredible shape. Everyone wrote him off after 1981 because of his torn bicep (even though he did look really good in 1982), but seriously, he looks great here in 1984. :o

Hard as nails... and to his credit he did a good job at hiding his bad bicep while posing. Great poser....

Almost as good as 81, just not quite as crisp but pretty damn close.

Great shots!!

Honestly, he looks even better than 1981 imo. And I am a huge fan of his 1981 physique. But those 1984 pics are damn impressive. He was completely overlooked that year.

thought you ment dj181 and were being sarcastic etc

Great personality, memorable pro unlike lame Heath, but shares his lack of width, which really hurts his overall look.

Even though Platz was insanely strong I heard he was seen after doing dumbbell flies using 135lbs for benches. Made a light weight heavy with little rest between sets.
-
Yeah he was always a monster to a lot of us coming up in the early 80's...
Why he never took home the Sandow at least once I don't get.
-
Not his best for sure.. and I talk about the condition in general. Here between Makkawy and Sergio Oliva.

More than holding his own there.

Great wheels on Albert Beckles. Holds his own with Platz. (I'm assuming that's Albert).

Cheers. Like many in this pursuit he probably burned brightly for a short while. Couldn't find many pics of him.

His biggest down fall aside from his bicep was he was very narrow w/wide hips but his conditioning was usually nails. He did hide those flaws pretty well though.
