Vince, do you think your current physique would beat Basile's physique of the 70s?

I would destroy him.  I'm 11 weeks away from competing so I've leaned down a great deal as you can tell.  Besides that, I'm black and I have some of those good old slave genetics.   Grin

Basile was a National Champion and Goodrum couldn't beat his meat.

I'm at 231 at the time and actually have about 8 weeks to go.  My arms and legs are going to be much improved when I step back onstage but I may not have sufficient time to be fully ready and I'm not going to compete until the product is finished.  Fortunately, the season just started and there will be a wide number of shows I can do for July and August.

I will be putting up pictures soon

hey vince,

Your already saying you don't think you'll have enough time (8 weeks away) to get in shape. Your already entertaining the the possibility that your not going to be in shape. Why even have a countdown if you already are thinking its not enough time? Why not just pick a show thats 6-9 months away so that you will have the time and that time itself won't be a excuse or issue?  cmon vince this stuff isn't that hard. We want to see you finally get it right. Your approach cannot be half ass. why even say your 11 or 8 weeks out if you are gong to not hold to that amount of time?

Why not both Basile and Goodrum diet down for 12 weeks and the best transformation wins the contest so we settle this fued once and for all between these two?

Goodrum was boasting about getting a Samsung Galaxy 8. His photos should be much better than the dismal stuff he has posted here.

I believe he now trains in a gym instead of on crap equipment at home.

Of course he always bullshits about the kind of condition he will be on stage.

I started in Feb so I felt it was sufficient time.  However, I did not count on the age factor to which my metabolism as well as test levels have greatly dropped not to mention that I was close to 280 pounds when I started.  I'm pleased with the progress and I'm much leaner which a lot more muscle....however I'm not competing if I'm not ready to hit the stage period.

To the rest of you...post your picture against mine if you wish but a lot of you are simply not in my league

What is the history of the fued between these two?

Basile and Goodrum seem to have a lot of bad blood.

In 11 weeks - Vince might not be stage ready - but he can lose 30 lbs or so

Too sum up the fight, it's all about blue stars.  Vince G has them, and Vince B doesn't.  Vince G likes to dangle the blue stars in Vince B's face.

That and the fact that Vince G opened a NAMBLA website with Vince B's information on it.   :D

When we don't care what the truth is we all might as well stop posting.

Goodrum bullshits and is hardly a nice person. Sure, he provides amusement but usually at his own expense. Now why would someone persist on a forum where he is a laughing stock?

That's not polite....I'm adding an extra 30 days to your NAMBLA website as punishment

Vince, you look much improved...............b ut pick a later show to do...........not enough time bud.

This 100%

Give an example. I have dropped 15lbs from late fall(250 to 235). In roughly 17 weeks it will be my 48th birthday. If I stay on course I will be in good/decent shape , I have no doubt about that, HOWEVER BEING IN GOOD/DECENT SHAPE AND BEING IN CONTEST SHAPE IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 17 WEEKS AND 52 WEEKS.

That is what I assume Wes was alluding to.Like myself, you need another 6 months to a year before considering being in contest shape, I think you should just take it down slow and let your body adapt to being lighter rather than "contest diet for 16 weeks" only to weight 280lbs again a month later
