Awesome actor, really wish he was able to finish up with Deadwood before he passed. Also had a good turn as Haig in the Nixon film, and in his second film for Walter Hill, Extreme Predjudice -

Great as Philip Marlowe Private Eye on HBO.
Great in U-Turn. A very underrated film. And this is coming from someone who loathes Sean Penn.

Over a period of time in the 90's one of the morning radio shows had 3 actors on who had worked with walter hill(Wlliam Forsthythe, Michael Ironside and Powers Boothe) and they all talked how they enjoyed working with walter hill because he took absolutely no bullshit from any prima donna actors
