If the President dies, then (yeah) the VP should take over.
But if Trump is removed from office due to scandal, then why should Pence assume the presidency for the remainder of Trump's term since Pence doubles and triples down on Donald's lies and he delivers them with a straighter face and more serious tone?

Because: Constitution.

Because: Constitution.
Liberals HATE the Constitution unless it pertains to them.

Right. I understand that you always need to have a President in charge, but wouldn't it make more sense for the VP to hold the Prez title temporarily until a new relatively snap presidential election takes place?

Hypothetically...
If Trump was found guilty of something serious enough to bring on impeachment, there would most likely be others in the White House facing charges too.
The highest ranking GOP member not implicated would assume the position of president.

Pence becomes President no agenda changes. Next.

Because: Constitution.
This is the answer.
Sort of.
Actually it's the Presidential Succession act of 1947.
The constitution allowed that law to be created. It's not technically in the constitution though.

Unless VP Pence is found to be complicit in Trump's illegal activities, he becomes President when Trump is ousted. Read the Constitution.

Are you being serious?
I lean towards the liberal side and have no intention of committing suicide regardless of happens with President Trump.
If Trump makes it halfway through the first term of Presidency, it will be nothing short of miraculous.
