Still one of the most bizarre "pop" groups ever made.
They were the definition of "living art".
A sick combination of Gnostic religion, country music, ice cream carts, stage house and a and dash of Jesus complex.
As icing on the cake they deleted their whole back catalog of music when they went into "retirement", music that was worth millions of pounds in record revenues. If that was not bizarre enough, they took out a million pounds sterling, nailed all the banknotes on a board, like Jesus on the cross and burned everything in front of a camera.
Today you can not find their music either on Spotify, iTunes or a record store.
Only through file sharing or YouTube can you hear the phenomenon that was ... The KLF.
Also, they had Jiminy Cricket as their rapper.
1987–1992: The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, The Timelords and The KLF
In 1992, Bill Drummond thought an effective way to quit the music industry would be cutting off his hand live at the Brit Awards.
He didn’t, but settled for burning one million pounds.

The KLF agrees with your assessment regarding our ancestral history in the music industry. However, you have failed to acknowledge that we were the first group to have a brick cell phone in a music video.

They were Great, I remember their music like it was yesterday. That's when negro music was still likeable enough! ;D

Never heard of them. I wonder what they're up to now? I bet thoughdeep down inside, what they thought was artsy and cool by burning their money, they now realize it wasn't and wish they had all of it back.
