It depends on whether he gets passionate about it. I don't think much of the Republican health care plan but he got very committed to helping push something through the House. He worked hard on it and it happened. I think he is someone the Middle Easterners think they can work with (especially since both Israel and most Arabs are in favor of his harsh stances with Iran and Syria). The ironic aspect is that the Israel/Palestine conflict is becoming sort of a sideshow with there being much bigger issues and conflicts in the Middle East to worry about.

Israel will only want peace when it has populated all disputed territory/ies. And, Trump has as much chance of 'brokering' peace in the Mid-East as he does uttering a coherent sentence.

The countries and tribes of the Middle East cannot cannot broker a deal with each other. Their battle has been going on since the dawn of time. If Trump were to pull Middle-East peace off, he'd be a miracle worker. I don't see this happening.
