Good example on PC problems within education.
The inflated GPA's ( above 4.0) has gotten ridiculous.
The main goal is still where you end up, AFTER graduation.
Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard and ended up pretty successful.
The neighborhood graduate signs are self indulgent and another absurd example of social media run amok .
A few years ago, I was driving by one with my mom during a visit home.
I asked her ; " Why didn't my sis and I get a HS graduation sign?"
Her reply was priceless ; " You don't deserve a sign for doing only what you're supposed to do." :D

If you take college classes in high school they are wieghed heavier ,giving higher gpa.but that's not my point

When I think of all the crap I learned in highschool it's a wonder I can think at all.

Are you people kidding me?
Its not an "inflated GPA" its a WEIGHTED GPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is important in high school when you need to delineate success because while some students took remedial courses and ended up with a 4.0, other students taking advance placement courses, college courses, etc. etc. ALSO CAN HAVE A 4.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Therefore higher level high school courses are given extra weighting.
Understand??????????
Congratulations to the 5.2 GPA kids, THAT MEANS THEY WORKED THEIR ASSES OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And deserve the accolades regardless of what race or gender they are...GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STAY POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about colour, but i can tell you based on how you type and the fact that the apple doesn't far from the tree. Your mong of a daughter was neither the valedictorian nor the salutatorian

Not where I went to school. No way possible to get above a 4.0 no matter what.
Then I would read/see kids getting 4.6 in other schools. Hopefully, the colleges differentiated somehow. And they went to "easy" schools in comparison.
Is it a private/public difference? I went to a private school.

Teachers are lazy and grade based on past grades. I got good grades because I had a history of good grades and would occasionally do A level work but most of the time I did C level work and still got As.
I once fabricated every single quote and footnote in a major assignment on Machiavelli's The Prince. Wrote it all the night before it was due and got a B+. I figured if they caught me I'd tell them I was being machiavellian.

being a human can be so exhausting
EDIT: the operative word being "can"
