The show is on the 6th November., seems like a long time but these things creep up
Feeling good after my last two shows and back in training and eating well, appetite is back and now up to 225.
Abs and intercostals still there, pretty lean everywhere else, retaining water mostly.
BP in check 120/81 last check.
Food wise
3 eggs beans bacon two toast
large bowl oats and two bananas
chicken or Tuna Wrap
Flapjack
Filled pasta pockets with cream and tomato sauce
chicken curry and chips
just got some maltodextrin, had a scoop with orange juice to try it.
cheese and crackers
Seem to be hungry all the time of late, nice rebound from diet this time.
Hopefully will be seeing Illuminati this weekend to go through some things and work out a plan for the show.

Show date is 5th November as of the 12th June its 21 weeks
Time to start tidying my diet and getting my head together.
Training going well at the moment, will start calorific deficit 16 weeks out.
Will be doing two sessions of cardio this time around, a new thing for me, hopefully will allow me to add a bit more food whilst still losing the fat.
Not sure how its going to work out but I'm going with it.
Diet from Monday will consist of oats bananas, potatoes chicken fish steak noodles and veg.
Looking at around 3000-3200 cals.
Deficit diet starts 16th July at 2500 cals.

half chicken chips and rice in Weatherspoons and 5 chicken wings my Mrs left

Dont get hungry during the night, hungry doesnt bother me...

went to see illuminati last week, had a chat about a few things and exchanged a few ideas, will be going down to train at his gym in a couple weeks and get some things down on paper as to my prep for November.

Im a bit sick of them at the moment.
Looking for an alternative.
I seem to be eating a lot of carbs these days as opposed to enough protein. (using amino powder at the moment to make up for the lack of meat sources.)
Hot weather doesnt help with appetite.
trainings going well, still maintaining around 15'10 / 16st.
Not trying to gain any more weight at present, eating enough to hopefully make some improvements over the next few weeks, away to Egypt back end of July then its diet time for the show in November....

Eggs are something I've never tired of. Possibly because a few alterations change the taste / consistency - even poaching an extra minute / less is a completely different animal, to me at least.

I never got sick of eggs, but there was approaching a 10 year period that I struggle to look at a can of tuna ;D
You haven't listed a days food intake for a while mate... (hint ;))
Weird question (like mine usually are) but is your gym air-conditioned? I've just changed to one that is and I'm not sure I like it - yet

bcaas maltodextrin and a flapjack
tuna and noodles
lamb burger with cheese and salad on a brioche bun
two chocolate bars (aldis own mini mars bars)
ice cream biscuit wafer
scoop whey with maltodextrine and orange juice
will have some cereal later for supper
still having extra BCAAS through teh day.
I definitely believe the "berberine" supplement is allowing me to stay full as its meant to regulate blood sugar and reduce insulin spikes.

Tomorrow is day one of diet, currently sitting at 16st 4lb 13 weeks to the show

250gms mince meat with 500gms potato
just tightening up the diet this week, will be following advice from Illuminati as of next week.

Did a brisk walk first thing this morning and 20mins cardio bike this afternoon

Your quads look really good (nh) full and sliced already - you don't squat, do you? I seem to recall you don't anyway but that's a great look however you are getting there (again - nh - don't get creeped out ;D)
And you have abs 365 days a year so that's hard to judge, but fair play anyway - great overall look so far 8)

Do you have to do much cardio? I get the impression (possibly unfairly) that you're a pretty lean guy to begin with, so might not need as much torture cardio as some of us. But if you do any, what's your preference? My old gym had a Schwinn Airdyne which I really miss, so I'm thinking about getting one for home use....

my mate just done his kitchen in tile effect Lino, he glued it down and sealed the edges with a thin bead of silicone sealer and it looks amazing But like you say wasn't cheap but worth it.
Nowt worse than the sound of a dogs nails on laminate flooring either

What happened to this thread? It just stopped. Did he ever do the show? He is a very knowledgeable man and I truly enjoy his posts and his take on nutrition,drugs and training. Good stuff.

He was thinking of doing the UK show, decided not to.
Last time we spoke he said he was thinking of doing a couple of
Comps this year.
He is no longer posting on Getbig - Deleted his Be There account.
He is a really decent straight talking bloke in real life

Thanks for the update. Yes...he seems like a good solid man. He has ribbed me about some of my posts in the past and I totally understand why. But I truly enjoyed his posts...found him incredibly knowledgeable and full of wisdom. Thanks again for your reply.

As & when I next speak to him i’ll Ask if he is still intending to compete this year.
We had discussed a different contest prep approach & a few adjustments physique wise for him.
He could do very well in the seniors if he wanted to,
The thing is he has a good all round life & was competing as he’s always in good condition
And not really interfering with his life.
Going all out for competitions is something he was weighing up the pro’s & con’s about.

Since I believe weigh loss is simply calories in vs calories out, how much calories do you try to stay within to maintain your normal physique and how low do you go when you want to lose your weight.

I dont stick to a calorie amount off season, I never count them...
I would guess I eat around 3000 off season on average
around 2000 dieting this time around...
