I think a lot of his liberalism is for show, he found a niche and a target audience but then when he goes on rants the truth comes out and he's anything but liberal. He saw how Rush had a conservative audience with his extreme views so he went to the other end of the spectrum with liberal views. I bet him and Bill O'reilly and Rush sit around laughing while getting head by high end escorts on the weekend.

He does have some views that are more associated with right-wingers but the majority of his opinions seem to be consistently left leaning. What I find admirable about him is that he is able to form his own opinions and doesn't just tow party lines - which is becoming an increasingly rare quality for political and social commentators.
