Title: O/t amsterdam
Post by: Aflo on June 07, 2017, 01:16:21 AM
Anybody been to Amsterdam in August? I looked up the weather and it is 70s F in the day and 60s F at night? Wondering if anyone has experience that month in terms of weathersounds like I might need a light jacket?

Amsterdam is another lost city.  Read they are starting to scale down the red light district in hopes of getting rid of it altogether.  So sad.

Nearby Utrecht plans to reopen their red light disctrict, used to be in houseboats! How cool is that

Do they not sell jackets in Holland? Why not buy one there if you need one? Maybe tripple up on your test and tren doses before you leave? You'll be plenty warm.

We've been having erratic weather, dry and hot one day, cold with torrential rains the next. As ESF says: just buy a jacket when you need one. The Kalverstraat is largely unavoidable when you visit Amsterdam anyway, might as well shop there.

Depends on whether you have taste or not. But the shopping district (mainly Kalverstraat, also Nieuwendijk) does have a lot of big brand shops.

Pro tip: do not buy cheese at the ubiquitous cheese shops. There must be half a dozen of the same chain down those two streets, it's absurd.

Also: have lunch at PiqNiq. Away from the hustle&bustle, quite nice. Lots of glutenfree dishes. I make an effort to take my wife (or random slut) there a few times per year.

Hookers are a lot safer than roids / gh / diuretics. And more fun too

Unless you book 4 thai trannies at the same time, that's tricky   ;)

I dont workout or do roids. I am with my wife for 15 years so I only use my penis to piss so I am 100% safe!

I was there this May ...it was pretty chilly ...around high 50s and windy. All the coffee shops are pretty much the same to me; the locals have their favorites just like we have our favorite bars in any given city. First thing I did was a get a transportation card and took the tram all over the city, it was more than efficient. The red light district is pretty depressing in my opinion; I was not there for 'business' but walking through the streets as seeing the workers in the window was a buzz kill. Beer is super cheap which is good, restaurants (even the good ones) have horrible service so do not expect much attention from the staff. Tipping is weird, Im usually a good tipper but sometimes I (like the bell boy) i would go to tip and they would just leave or look at me funny. By the end of my stay I stop giving caring. Van Gogh museum is pretty good, Riks Mueseum is eh, the sex museum makes you not want to have sex (lots of gross shit) ...

If you have never smoked or only smoke shag carpet type weed, then you will be impressed by the pot there.  I don't smoke, but my friends who did lost interest quick.  The smoke shops are like a little Starbucks, mostly dark and dingy but some are very nice and cozy.  Pot is just a novelty there for the most part.  They make cookies, brownies, lollipops, soups, even energy drinks with it.

The red light district is awful.  The girls in the window have such full body make up on that you can't even see the pores of their skin.

had an esfitness style(no diss) adventure to amsterdam when i was about 20

drove there with a couple mates (me driving) got delayed and missed ferry on way there. got drunk in ferry town waiting for next ferry. had a few "flashpoints" on ferry. got breathalysed coming off ferry in holland and arrested for drink driving, eventually blew under on breathalyser in police station and released. spent a couple days in amsterdam stumbling around stoned out of our heads smoking the best assortment of weed and hash i've ever witnessed. never even saw where the red light district was was too stoned to think about pussy.

went back to get on ferry to be told was all banned from boarding due to previous performance. not a penny left between us had to sleep in car. started driving back through europe to channel tunnel filling up gas and shooting without paying as we went. thankfully we still had a few bags of weed left. picked up a hitch hiker in belgium going to london!. initial plan was to get him to buy us a meal at service station and then leave him there as we hadn't eaten in a couple days but didn't want a stranger in the car.

guy was such a good dude we couldn't bail on him so told him we didn't have money for channel tunnel crossing and he agreed to pay for it. number plate had fallen off car and we got stopped by police at belgium/france border. surrounded at gun point LOL. searched us and the car and took weed off us . luckily mate still had one bag stashed! finally got back to london 2 or 3 days later than meant to.

one mate had a bit of a nervous breakdown after everything that happened. me and my other mate vowed to go back the next weekend!. still never been back though unfortunately.

can't remember what the weather was like though tbh.

This is a cool story because it actually happened. But because of that you got nothing on esfitness.
Be There plz esfitness-up this post for us. Thanx.

Yeah.  esfitness would have made up something about a dead hooker or being chased by Amsterdam gang members (on bicycles) or CIA poisoned weed over there.
