Luke is big and by the sounds of things doesn't overdo the gear, and gets regular doctor checkups.
That having been said, Tom Prince used to go on about how little gear mattered in pro bodybuilding and he turned out to be a complete liar on that topic, so I'm weary to trust Luke. However, he looks excellent and if he truly doesn't overdo the gear and watches his health, congrats to him.

Rep Power: 5 HOW TO TURN PRO - by Tom Prince
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm going to cut right to it. Here's EXACTLY, word for word, what it takes for anyone to turn pro:
1. Genetics
2. Busting your ass in the gym
3. Knowing how to eat alot of good food
4. Knowing what it means to "rest"
5. 12-15 YEARS of being consistant, and never missing a scheduled workout (*note: you are allowed to miss 2-3 workouts in that 12-15 years for funerals, family tragedy, etc.)
NOW.. here's how 1-5 plays out: Your GENETICS, you are born with, and can do nothing about. Numbers 2,3,4, I could teach a retarded monkey with a brain amputation.
And #5.. is why 99.99999% of the people fail.. and fall dead on their ass.
Notice is doesn't say "gear" or "steroids" in there at all. If you are one of those people that walks around saying "he's just big because he's on tons of shit!", then you will NEVER make it. NEVER!!
Steroids, GH, gear.. is the ultimate weak minded pussies excuse. Because, if it's GEAR, they never have to admit they aren't good enough. These people come up with an abstract excuse that no one can exacty pin point (how much, exactly is "tons of shit"?), and that way they don't have to admit they just ain't got it.
Notice the only thing you never hear someone say is: "I'm just not good enough?"

Tom Prince was 230 at 5-7 before touching steroids and he said that they were the last reason he was so big. He is smaller now because of poor health, changed eating habits and changed workout habits.

hahahahaha, if you watch the movie you would understand.

Yes, but Tom also said it would take him 10+ years to get below 250 at 6% ::) (See attached screen grab - right click to view image by itself in case resolution is not good).

That's true. But getting sick and using certain "things" really caused him to lose weight.
-
Yes, definitely faster than he would have lost it otherwise.
If I were in his shoes, the last thing on my mind would be preserving muscle mass! I would want health and health alone.
However, to have once been one of the most muscular men to walk the earth, and now to be 190 pounds must take a toll on a person psychologically.
Yeah his personality had to have undergone dramatic change. He said once, "What's the point of living if you can't be huge?" Monstrously myopic. ::)

When he said that I don't think he counted on kidney failure, and dying. So, you might want to revise your argument/judgements.
-
Hopefully he can get over his big man syndrome. I would focus on as much longevity as nature allowed in his shoes. Hopefully he moves on to greener pastures in life.
Yeah. I bet has changed alot. He no longer comes on the boards when people talk bad about him. I wish him the best of luck, no reason to be kicking somebody when they are already maturing by themselves.

Yeah maybe Luke rates in the top 10-20 bodybuilding pro's on the planet, needs to look like Yates or Coleman from behind to really start earning $100,000.00+ ASC wins and take over from LeeP.

Everyone brings up his youth etc in the game but isnt he 30 or so?
I know Luke is as dedicated if not more than many many pro's out there and has a love for the 'sport' getting to most of the shows in Oz to give his support.
When you mention his back it would be safe to say it isnt a 'standout' feature of his, however it has the thickness to warrent some decent callouts/comparisons. He's working with arguably the best in the world now so if it is something that can be developed he should bring a freaky package to NY

That's a bit over the top, David Shaw.

Looks Great! and Hey I have those pajamas Too! Silky! ;D

When were those pics taken? He looks smaller than ever. 190?
-
No more then 140,
-
Don't forget...steroids are only 5-10% of building a Pro physique. As you can see, Bob Chick is only 5-10% better than Tom in those pics.

hahahahaha, 190? shit at 190 he'd at least have a little bit of muscle, he's no heavier than 150 there.
-
I can't believe people think he's 190, wtf?? he looks like he's with on foot in the grave.

They are different people with different heights with different training and nutrition regimens. Also, Prince is dealing with health problems ::) Nice try. Sorry, Atari.

i'd say tom weighs about whogivesashit pounds.

No more then 140,
We keep forgeting those monster legs he had. Those logs must pack some poundages. Even untrained, they were way above normal size. 190 for someone who's used to carrying almost 300lbs. is like loosing 1/3 of yourself. That's why I think 190 is reasonable, but who knows for sure? Chick and he ain't talking.

Thanks so much for the support everybody. Truly its very much appreciated. This is going to be a very hard show. The toughest line up i have been in. Anyone of 5 guys can win and anyone of at least 20 guys can make top 10. I will not make any predictions. I am going to be at my best and thats the only thing in my control. Top 5 though would be awsome. If i come in a peeled 255-260 i think i can make it.

We're pulling for you, Luke - you're still #1 on this board!

That's true. But getting sick and using certain "things" really caused him to lose weight.
...even so, he still dwarfs you!

Hey Luke, I liked the article in the latest flex. Good luck in NY.

Since someone brought up Tom Prince...I thought he said somewhere he was an accomplished collegiate swimmer?
If this is true, when is the last time you saw a 225-240lb swimmer?
-
...even so, he still dwarfs you!

I have to disagree about Luke's back not being a strong point. His back is extremely thick, wide, rear delts are ridiculous, and has a very deep christmas tree. If you want to say he needs to bring something up to match the rest of his physique, you could say he needs a little more mass on his arms but in the pics from this year, looks like he has added considerable size their with priority training.

Monster monthly drug bill

great build imo

keep it up luke, looking improved cobber

Luke is always honest. He's the only person I'll protect or support here. Others I'll bash them up

Actually it would be "brutal drug bill". The usage of monster is sarcastic, and is meant to mean the negative of the truth. For instance -
You have a monster understanding of the term monster ;D

in a purely gay way of course.

Thanks Mike for this thread bro!! always giving me alot of support. Yes i have improved my arms and chest, still need more, but improving is all i can do. NY will be a very, very tough show, so now my training has stepped up alot more! I dont have an unrealistic view i am goin to win NY but i will certainly not be out of place.
Cheers and God bless! ;)
