http://www.cbsnews.com/news/poll-majority-disapprove-of-senate-health-care-bill/
I've seen polls range from 12% to 27%, and it's clear this is NOT popular with the avg voter.
I can't see how this bill helps cover more people or lowers costs for most workers?
-
It could be at fuckkng zero and still better than oshitcare that was intentionally and completely designed to fail to make wave for a single payer system. Who cares what it's at right now. At least they're going back over and over until they get it right unlike Obamacare when it was voted on while on recess, without a republican vote while coercing Roberts.

Ok, we agree that the current "Obamacare" has some problems.
Question: How exactly does this new GOP health care plan help
avg working guys (like us?)
-
Question for anyone.
How does this new senate healthcare bill provide more/better coverage for less cost?

Because of competition Howard.

Yes, that's a real issue, but I don't know what's in the current bill in that regard.
Why do you think the CBO score indicates the last 2 proposed bills were worse then Obamacare?

The CBO is known to be extremely inaccurate when it comes to healthcare. The current one states that premiums would be reduced by 30% but 22mil uninsured by I think 2026.

Hmmmmm? Interesting info there.
I suspect the hard truth is, not everyone gets covered if you want lower rates.
I can live with that, but it's a tough sell for congress.
Hey I just posted a thread where I explain how VP Pence could
best work with Trump to get a new healthcare bill passed.
Check it out and let me know what you think.

Exactly. But I like to humor myself at times and get a glimpse of the La La Land Coach dwells in where simple questions appear to be quantum physics to him.

I see. So based on your tweet from a comedian (or anyone from the left comedian or otherwise) you actually think it was on the up and up? Hahahahahaha.
Nothing and I mean NOTHING the left does is anywhere close to legit. lmao

I hate the GOP bill too - its sucks ass. Just repeal ObamaCare and allow insurance across state lines.

If only it was that simple, it's not :'(
The reality is , "repeal only" would result in total chaos and free fall for the health insurance markets.
Without a firm, binding law from the federal GOV, nobody would want to underwrite most policies.
THEN, we'd have a free fall in heath care similar to what occurred with mortgages in 2007.
Not good :-[

I don't care how often they have to go back to get it right. Just get it right. Forget the criticisms from the left and everyone else, go back over and over again until it's right.

Yet this dispels none of the facts contained in that post. Surely if it were that ridiculous, you could post evidence otherwise. Since you haven't and can't, we will let that stand on it's own.

healthcare in the US is an issue exactly the same as gun crime. you can all see how the rest of the developed world does it better, but you'd prefer to close your eyes and pretend you can't see. :D

Jealousy is strong with this one. You would love for us to sink down to your level so that your words might actually have some meaning.
Until then, your head has been bashed in so many times on the gun issue that you posting once again on that is simply a constant reminder of your dense nature.
Socialized medicine/single payer is terrible. You are still in the gutter if your country supports that.

lol please tell me you're trolling !
you have a murder rate around 5 x higher than the rest of the developed world...the gun thing is not even debatable.
even though you spend nearly double the gdp on healthcare than most of europe, your healthcare system is still ranked below the vast majority of developed countries and you also have a lower life expectancy than most of the developed world!
who wouldn't be jealous of a country where you're 5 x times more likely to be murdered(most likely by gun) , live a shorter life and have a shtty healthcare system that is extortionately expensive! ::)

you idiots are too stupid to realise that your sytem is "socialised medicine" too. you just pay into an insurance pool instead of a state pool. you don't pay for healthcare at the point of use.
you're just getting fked hard in the @ss by the insurance industry while millions still have no cover.

When do you expect the next influx of Euro's and Canadians into the US for their next medical procedures?

When do you expect the next influx of Euro's and Canadians into the US for their next medical procedures?
You do know that aprox. 30% of every US health care dollar goes to the outside investors who buy the stock.
The first 30% doesn't go to a Doc, drug company, hospital, clinic , etc...it goes to an investor.
The cost of healthcare could be reduced by 30% if you left the "for profit" investors out of the loop.
To be clear this 30% has NOTHING to do with any aspect of the medical care , drugs or organizations.
I'm not opposed to investors making $$ , but making 30% off treating illness ,seems obsessive .
Public Utilities like electric companies have a regulated or fixed profit model that most states use.
Investors make a fair profit that is regulated by KW-hr unit cost max and min rates.
I'm no expert but most Utility investments yield around 8-10%.
Using a public utility regulated investor model could reduce health care costs by 20% without reverting to single payer.
That would be my solution.

There is no influx you retard.

No stupid, they are not. Canadian millionaires may choose to come here for cancer treatments as that is the one area where we
have good if not great results. But for everyday healthcare, they do not.

not sure. but i would bet there's more americans going abroad for healthcare than those coming in.
http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/2016/08/17/14-Million-Americans-Will-Go-Abroad-Medical-Care-Year-Should-You
no doubt US healthcare is great for those who are filthy rich whether in the US or abroad but that doesn't really help the masses does it.

i really don't see why you people are so scared of a "single payer" system. you have single payer police and fire services. to my understanding competition is supposed to drive efficiency up and price down or at least result in a good level of value for money. if you're paying nearly double (as a proportion of gdp) than the rest of industrialised world for your healthcare and millions are still not covered and you're healthcare system doesn't even rank favourably. then obviously "competition" is not having the desired effect.
-

I didn't say for everyday healthcare. Facts are facts, in a socialized healthcare system people with life threatening conditions often are put on waiting lists with cases being put on lists so long they often die before they get a chance to move on with their treatments after diagnosis which is why they choose to come here to get quicker treatment. I'm not saying the care in Canada is bad, it's the wait that will kill you. This has been going on since the days of socialized medicine. It's nothing knew.
